Well here's a video that I happened to find on another forum and thought that I would share here since it deals with a game that many seem to like: Guitar Hero.

The song is Through the Fire and Flames as performed by Dragonforce.
Seems to be this game's Jordan, ie extremely hard on expert.

Oh, that was SO GODDAMN AWESOME!

Of course they'll eventually make songs this difficult. As long as there are people who are actually capable of doing them (as this video proves) the makers will need to keep upping the difficulty in order to provide them with a new challenge. It's the same with DDR and other rhythm games- originally the hardest song was Paranoia, which is now comparatively so easy that people don't even consider it a challenge any more. In DDR MAX they introduced MAX 300, but now they're up to songs like Max. (period), which hits 600 BPM. It's just a natural progression- the harder you make it, the better the players get, so you have to make it harder again.

That song made me wonder if they're ever going to do 'Grab the Devil by the Horns' by Sum41. It's similar, but not quite as fast and much shorter (that may be keeping them from doing it).

Not only did they cut like 5 minutes off of that song in the video, but they skipped the hardest part...

Lucky bastard. I want Guitar Hero 3 but I don't want to pay the inflated price to get the 360 version with guitar, besides the rock band Guitar looks hella better. I might pick this up for the PS2 since it would save me lots of money.

Hey Manick, did you see the guy who does Jordan on World Series of games? He's amazing. He does Jordan on Expert mode and gets 5 star w/ 90% hits. Totally awesome

I will never beat this song on expert, same goes for Jordan. In Jordan I get to the part with all the hammer-ons and pull-offs and I just get confused and fail.

Thing is, is that when I get confused I literally stop hitting buttons with my left hand, which means on expert I fail almost immeadiately

just gotta practice... when you can get about 60% average on solo C in practice mode and 40-60% solo B, you can do it. You have to nail the end of solo A, and you have to last until at least the break in solo B. if you can do that, you can beat the song. The key is to go into solo B as far into the green as you can, and hit enough notes to stay there until you get into the red (at which point you activate SP before seeing the blinking red 🙂 )
