german and japanese. i think that german is like a tsundere: usually hard, but sometimes you can see cute sides. japanese is gentle and perfect suited for romance.
but french just sounds gay

there is no doubt that it is Italian even insults sound good. the worst for me has to be German no offense to anyone but it sounds dirty even "i love you" sounds wrong in German.
that´s not true. did you ever hear a german confession? it comes right from the soul

I'm going with the cliché; saying that the French language is definitely the most romantic language of all.
Your from the order? I've never seen you before.

I don't understand why french got most of the votes. I speak french and I don't find it the most romantic language... maybe in poetry but not when you speak it. For me, it's spanish. Spanish songs are just beautiful!
i would vote for specifically british english. because the voice is so "thick"

I think the Romance languages all sound lovely. I don't have enough of a basis for comparison, really, but overall the soft sounds and fluidity of languages like Italian, Spanish and French are what I find most romantic. I couldn't really choose between them, but I went with Italian because I love the country. (So going back there when I've saved up ^^) I like German--I'm studying it--but I don't think it is romantic (though by no means do I agree that it is as harsh as is reputed).

English, because it's the only one I understand. 🤣

I agree. I love British English in poetry especially, it sounds passionate and resonating.
I also vote Russian because it's a beautiful tongue.

er...I don't understand. Romantic?
Well, I think french is really easy to speak. Sometimes my tongue gets stuck while speaking english, and i think spanish is pretty sounding now 😀

When I saw the title, immediate thought was "French!" then I went and read people's comments and picked "Spanish!" I'm so easily influenced OTL
Find it hard to believe that English also got a high vote o__o and Japanese... both of them aren't romantic at all imo but if compared to my own language, hands down to both of them. I prefer to say romantic words /notthatisayit/ in English hurr hurr

Not Hindi, that's for sure - though sometimes the songs make you think otherwise....

I might be biased but its chinese for me, rofl dont mention cantonese, I feel really awkward when I hear my father talking with my grandma, it just sound so weird, crude and not elegant at all.
I watched tons of Jdrama back then, I've to conclusion that Japanese in real live didn't sound as good like in anime ( thanks to seiyuus), I feel that english is bit too straight forward, I prefer German (hence why I study here), and french just feel so gay (no offence).
