Should manga aggregator sites be allowed to use mangaupdates for their means of advertising?

What the fuck?
An unspoken rule is exactly what it says on the tin: A rule that is not stated anywhere, but is followed in the complicit understanding that it exists. If it's not followed, then by sheer definition it does not exist as a rule.
Murder is written in law and enforced by law. Steal ...
Weeeeeell, you see.... Stealing and making copies of someone's work, I'm talking about the mangaka/company who releases the manga, is illegal. It is in the law. Scanlations are illegal. Saying they aren't and they aren't in the law...well you are wrong about that. So before we talk about "Stealing scanlation projects", let's just talk about how this is illegal already from the start when scanlators scanlate...
Sure it's not on the level of murder (why we talk about murder anyway?) but you tell me who the biggest criminal is: The guy who steals the shoes from a shoeshop or the guy who steals a few million dollars by doing freud? One may have used a knife while the other just used his tongue. ^^
Illegal is illegal, and if it's not because you were too damn poor and you would have died if you didn't steal the food or the water, then I think they should just go to jail. You have no right to take something from others and earn money on it directly or indirectly if you aren't allowed to do so by law. Making or sharing manga scanlations are illegal by law. You are not to earn money on on them directly or indirectly, heck you aren't even allowed to do it for free.
If you love your manga that much then make summaries and put a few pics up on a blog for others to read about and buy if they really really really want to do so. 😛

You claimed that if a rule isn't followed, it's sufficient proof that it doesn't exist. Which is absurd, correct?
Now you're adding further caveats and making your statement more and more convoluted, all for the sake of justifying your self-interest.
Boring.
In general, since there is no enforcement, what the rule boils down to is "don't be an asshole to other people". If some assholes violate it, it doesn't mean that the general principle of "don't be an asshole" doesn't exist or shouldn't be followed. Although assholes would argue otherwise.

There is no point in staying on topic, because the topic's prompt is a joke
- Manga scanlation is not ethical
- Everyone in this business is a thief, there is no code of honor
- Shut the fuck up about something that is nonexistent

If you cant stay on topic then don't bloody post, make another topic instead of hijacking another one that you think has hidden agendas, maybe it does have one but that doesn't give you right to just go off topic off a legit poll with a legit question.

if you'd get your head out of your ass, you'd see that I did answer the question, which was addressing whether "manga aggregates" scanlations being posted on mangaupdates was being "ethical" or not
