From the school. I rather spent the full amount buying a new text book and when I sell it, it's going to be in pretty good condition. Besides, I hate getting used books. Who know what the previous owner done to those books.

i've usually gotten them from the school myself. It's closer, no waiting time, and new. Some new books have those online codes for study practice, and I like those. This year though, i'm a little (and maybe more) destitute so I'm searching for other sources where i can buy books.

I usually find my text books for a quarter of the price.

It's called college. The school does not provide textbooks.

I'm in high school, so as of now, they do. But I know that in college you pay for your own.

Gawd, they're so expensive O_O I used to buy them from my school bookstore, but a friend told me about a used bookstore where they sell them cheaper.

In public schools/high schools of my country, the school provide the textbook. In the colleges you need to pay it, altought.
I buy my textbooks from online shops or from other students/used bookstores, if the condition is good. It saves a lot of money, so I don't see what is the problem with that at all =P
Even though I joined in 2008, I restarted my lists with only only the manga I've read since 2012 July!

/facepalm at the people citing High School when obviously the OP and the first posts are talking about buying books, which obviously means College. I don't know any college that provides textbooks, and citing High School in a college discussion is like citing baseball when talking about cricket.
