I think you'll also like Papillon - Hana to Chou - It's by the same manga artist as Peach Girl. She picks 2nd guy.

Angel Voice (also known as Tenshi no Uta) The lead girl chooses the second guy (i guess even the third guy if you think about it) then tragedy strikes
Glass Mask It is rather long (like 48 volumes ongoing). It looks like she will end up with the guy who she didn't like first...apart from it being a very slow romance, it is a rather good read
Kimi no Neiro I don't find this story that great, but I feel it meets the criteria
Paradise Kiss This one is a bit like Angel voice as in it is very back and forward

Hana Yori Dango and Tenshi no Uta are about the only ones that I can think of--right off the bat.

It depends on what we mean for "the guy he initially liked", because for example Naru in Love Hina had a one-sided crush for Noriyasu Seta sensei, but he almost never appears in the story. I'd not say it's what you guys are asking though since it's pretty obvious from the start that that relationship is impossible.

More realistically, I'd say Toradora! fits.

Unless you're strictly referring to a shounen/seinen story told from a girl's point of view, in that case I can't think of anything.
