I'm just wondering how many people have enjoyed this wonderful, wonderful game. I mean it is like the perfect game for otaku and the english localization leaves in all the honorifics and stuff. Also with games like this coming out the PS2 still seems to be going strong into this fabulous holiday season.

Maybe I should have said post your opinions or made this a poll.

But I played this game (and Fes) in Japanese a while ago. I never got to finish, since I did about 60 hours in a few days and decided I needed a break before I finished Fes in Hard mode (I refuse to finish this game the way it was meant to be finished without Orpheus Kai).

And no, the PS2 is pretty much dead, even to Japan. This game came out at least a year ago, before the PS3. So don't get your hopes up.

The honorofics made me die inside when I heard the English voice actors pronouncing them...shakes head If an anime dub started keeping those in, what would you think?

English voices = FAIL.

I actually didn't mind the english voices since I haven't heard the Japanese voices to compare them. Plus the game just came out here in the states and at the moment the PS2 still is like the only console with a good amount of JRPGs and that are half way decent. Then there is the fact that there are over 100 million PS2s out there, a developer would be crazy to bypass that market unless a game is exclusive to a console.

I know that I will still be playing my PS2 for quite a while even if I do get a PS3 since a PS3 w/o the Emotion engine doesn't justify a reason to get rid of of my PS2.

J-Rpgs should be more available to pc. T-T
They always go for the consoles.
I just love J-Rpgs. Best genre.

One: Excellent, sinister story draws you in from the very beginning .
Two: Disparate gameplay styles mesh well and provide plenty of contrast.
Three: Shooting yourself in the head to summon a persona never loses its intensity. 🙂

The English voices are, indeed, fail. I will take a cast of Tanaka Rie, Megumi Ogata, and Hikaru Midorikawa amongst others any day over those. Say yus to downloading Japanese games illegally and understanding what they're talking about.

Love the plot...
Gameplay...a bit annoying but still fun...
Graphics like every Shin Megami Tensei game...(never liked them anyway 😛 )
Voices...God they're so horrible...wished they had decided to include the original Japanese voices with subs like Nippon Ichi games...

well...plot is my most important aspect when deciding for an RPG game so even with all its bad qualities...i'll still play it for the plot

I wonder where Lezard is. He's a huge fan of the series and all other related Atlus titles.

Haven't played it myself though. Would like to.

Manga will be out soon enough, I hope. 😃 But we have to start from chapter 4 since that's all that available...hopefully someone will get the magazines featuring chapters 1-3 soon.

Yeah. Because it was so popular, they made it a manga. It's running in a monthly magazine right now...Starting in the April issue. Fortunately someone has chapters 4-7, and another member of a Persona 3 community I'm part of says they'll buy the issues of the magazine with chapters 1-3. 😃

Terribly overrated game. I'm not entirely disappointed in my decision to pump out 50 bucks for it, but the way I'd seen other RPG fans review it, I thought it was going to be the holy grail of RPGs.

Turns out it's just Star Ocean 3 Lite + Dating Sim.
