I enjoy manga about cute girls becoming gods. Kamichu!, Kamichama Karin and Kamisama no Tsukurikata are all examples of this. Can anyone recommend any series in this vein? Preference for completed series though if it hasn't been abandoned, all is good.

Try Because I'm the Goddess and probably Ah! My Goddess

And there's Kurohime which does involve gods

Shirohime is a goddess

Ayashi no Ceres, and Kurohime for something a bit darker.

Thank you! I have read Because I'm the Goddess, but I am snagging a couple chapters of Ah! My Goddess right now to see how I like it.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is kinda about a girl god.

The art in AMG changes almost drastically after vol 9 and again at about vol 20.
3x3 Eyes. I believe Pai is what one would traditionally call a god in eastern cultures. Borrows extensively from Indian and other Eurasian cultures.
Black God.

How about the story? I am at Chapter 24 of AMG, and I am just finding it to be a bit tedious. I did like Black God, and I am loving Ayashi no Ceres. I will checkout 3x3 eyes

AMG is the epitome of tediousness. I mostly read it for the humor and the cars and the art and whatnot. I just wish they'd get busy and get it done with already. In the books time its been about three or four years already and Keichi still gets nothing. Ofcourse , it doesn't help that he's living with Belldandy's two other sisters, and they could easily destroy him. But you know what sometime's a man's gotta do that stuff.

this thread looks good, now I wan't to read some about girl gods.

anyway, I guess angel diary would kinda count?

edit: just thought of Divine Melody < the main protagonist is *mostly * a girl (it's gender bender, but really good) but also...

because the main protagonists parents are fox gods, or something along those lines

I just remembered about Tokyo Akazukin. Be warned, it's 18+. Many would call it hentai. I wouldn't but I could see why others would.

I liked AMG, but stopped around 210. Correct me if I'm wrong but I felt that keiichi and belldandy's relationship kept on dragging and nothing really happens.

Yeah I was just going to say that one. In a way, she's totally a god and even worshiped like one by a few.

I suppose that Escaflowne could kinda work.
