Been dormant for a while since everyone basically went AWOL and didn't bother to tell me that they can't continue anymore.

Basically, I'm trying to get back in the game and recruit for all positions from translators to editors and cleaners.

The most important thing I need is a translator fluent in Japanese and Traditional Chinese (These two are separate posts).

I'll still do seinen/shonen manga. I'm iffy on my Japanese N5 level, so I'm not convinced I can do a good job.

There's the thing on typesetting Kyo, the manga made by Hiroshi Takashige/Ryoji Minagawa. Otherwise, I wish to start with one volume at least to make things easy. Dancing Policeman is picked up by someone else.

Thinking of Motofumi Kobayshi's Omega 7 to start with. Like the mangaka's art.

In talks with a potential typesetter.

Still looking for help.

Also, if I don't hear anything from someone I known from GWZ within a week or so, I can probably start on typesetting Kyo.The script's been translated for a long time now and I've been meaning to do this with them, although it's held back due to them busy with other stuff and me with RL stuff.

Looks like the talks with the typesetter is okay and it seems he'll double as an editor unless more are willing to volunteer.

Meanwhile, still looking for a Japanese/English-speaking translator. The English/Traditional Chinese translator is secondary.

Also another typesetter/editor/proofreader is appreciated.

Still recruiting for editors/cleaners/typesetters and Japanese/Traditional Chinese translators.

If things goes well, I plan to have Tsutomu Takahashi's Jiriashin: Lost File translated. I was able to get my hands on a copy.

Hiya, I'd be interested in being a proofreader for a scanlation group. Do you have a website or an application process?

The website died I went on hiatus years ago, so for now you can ask or contact me here or leave a PM.

As for a test, I'll need to check if I have it in Dropbox.

@Twig

  • Got no proofreader. But I assume your English comprehension is good?

Also I'm looking for another editor and typesetter (Unless you can do both) since the editor who volunteered to help out has his PC go kaput.

This person would help in cleaning up the scans for Jiraishin Lost File.

This is a just in case scenario, but I'm looking for an editor who can edit and redraw and also, can start if he/she is interested.

Now in the need of another editor who can edit/redraw/clean the manga scans.

Priority is a Jiraishin one shot that was not released. Someone's translating the manga as I post this up.

He/she can can get in touch with me here. I'm currently trying to get BGS a group space in Batoto.

Update:

Looking to recruit the following, as long as he/she is available (unless RL really hits you hard).

  • Translator (Japanese/Traditional Chinese/Korean)
  • Editor (Will also include stitching pages unless "sources" is obtained via digital means)
  • Cleaner
  • Typesetter
  • Proofreader

Currently setting up base at Batoto with a forum coming soon so that I can announce stuff and staff members who want to actively help out can set up shop there.

For now, not looking for proofreaders/cleaners/editors.

All other positions still stand.
