Not much to discuss about this one.
People could discuss what they want out of a phone.
Personally, I've just decided to go back to a regular flip-phone the next time I get a choice because I don't see the point in spending a few hundred dollars for a glorified iPod Touch, where I don't even use half of the features installed on the damn thing.
Other. A decade-old Samsung brick phone. It is flat and technically has colors but it is still prehistoric. I´ll likely get a lower-end android that I will hack to hell and back next year or whenever the money on my dying phone runs out.
I mostly use my phone as a watch and alarm.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.

Always Android after my old cellphone (which was Symbian IIRC) mmm...
I will change this world mmm...
So the world can change me mmm...

Android. First switched to a smartphone six years ago and haven't looked back. I basically use it as a gaming device now (I'm... really into gacha games, unfortunately). I'll probably stick to Androids (and Samsung Galaxys) for the foreseeable future. I used an iPad Mini for a hot minute as my primary note-taking device in college and hated it.

Android. I will NEVER use an iphone or any other apple device.
Android for sure. Sticking with it, never gonna change it though I can't really predict the future.

Android. iOS is too expensive, and Android devices work just fine, so who cares. (Same with Windows - I know there are more "sophisticated" OS's out there, but if the basics work for me... I'm no tech whiz and care about networking not at all, so it just seems like a waste of cash.)

Android. They are usually ok quality-price wise. I like them with the screen not too big so I can carry it in my trousers pocket. My mobile phone is great for reading manga too, specially in the bed. 😎

Iphone SE (the old version). If it won’t fit in my pockets, I don’t want it.

Android for tablet and smartphone. Next phone might be iOS though, but as my favorite ebook reader is Android only, I shall stick with it on my tablet.

My mobile phone: Nokia 3310.
Best mobile phone ever.
Only problem is, it's got very limited space for SMSs ...and it only runs on relatively old networks, so it doesn't work with all this 3G/4G stuff. Whenever I call, I get warned that it'll involve some re-routing.
I wish they'd make a new phone, that is essentially the Nokia 3310, but newer (and no, that abomination made by the modern people who've bought the rights to the Nokia name, that they released as a "new 3310", is nothing like the 3310, in any possible way)
Oh, and I do have an android smartphone, but that's purely as a handheld computer (never had a SIM-card in it). A replacement for my old Palm. Well, technically, I have two (I haven't gotten around to reading up on how to root the new one. What computer nerd can tolerate a non-rooted phone? Also downgrading the OS. I miss the days, back when upgrades actually meant improvement)
Apple products are all about the image of using an Apple product, rather than the actual quality or functionality of the product ...and everything is locked down and unmodifiable. It's supposed to be your phone, but your not allowed to mess around with it. Overpriced rubbish. (granted, android does set some limits on what you can do, unless you root it, and certainly has several other issues, but...)

I recommend getting a proper ebook-reader, with e-ink. It's a lot more pleasant to read. Much easier on the eyes ...and you can put in manga in it, too, which also works great (as long as it's all black-and-white)
Granted, it involves having an extra device with you, but...
(though why not replace the tablet with an ebook reader? I mean, what's the point of having a tablet, anyway? It's too big to fit in your pocket. If you want something that big, why not get a really small laptop, and thus have a real computer?)
