christmas is almost here...which reminds me of santa claus...i dont know if there is already a thread about him in here...so if there already is...mr.mod if your out there somewhere please do the honors of locking this up...or whoever among the honorable mods come by first...

so the thing is...who among you guys still believe in him?? if you did, why? if not, why? if you used to, how old are you when you stopped believing??

as for me...
i am not that much of a fan of his because we dont have chimneys back here...but somewhere in my heart i want him to be real!!! 🤣

I stopped believing in him when my mother told me he wasn't real. I was a naive little girl! Would send him about 4 letters every month and never got any replies! D8< My mother took pity on me!

I was 10 when she told me, and I think I was still bitter about it because years ago I asked my younger cousins if they still believed in him. Their reactions: "O__O What do you mean still? lots of crying and cursing "

Got a lot of heat from the relatives for that little slip up. D';

I was always glad that I did used to believe in him though. Just the though of Santa when you're a youngster makes christmas so much more fun. I wish there was a little one in my house (I'm the youngest). We've all grown up, so christmas just isn't as exciting as it was before. You need someone there to be really excited about it, either being yourself or someone else.
This christmas should be a little more exciting this year. Last year was really boring. This year I'm heading to my cousins, and they're all young and believe in Santa, so they're going to be mega excited 🤣

As for me, nop, Santa was always something from movies, we didn't have one of those chimneys either, and Christmas is on summer here 🤣

I'm proud to say I never believed in Santa Claus! Though that might be my environment? o.o But I was always very skeptical, even as a child. >:] I actually didn't believe in anything, even then!

I stopped believing in him at age... 7.
When I was younger, I was selfish, greedy, and always wanted a brand new awesome bike or some sort of game console. (I'm still greedy, I want a game console. :3)

Anyway, on Christmas Eve..
I was being a good kid allll day, wrote a letter to Santa, taped it on my wall..
I couldn't sleep because of my excitement! I was always eagerly waiting for that awesome Nintendo 64! XD (it was pretty popular back then.)

And when I opened my present.. it came out to be crayons, candy, glue sticks, & plastic jewelry. Turns out I received something similar the year before. Maybe Santa didn't watch me with binoculars and noticed that I was being a good girl? Why does Santa give me gifts that can be easily purchased from your neighborhood dollar store? 😮
Questions lead to doubts which lead to me not believing.

So it was because of my childish, selfish reasons, that I gave up on Santa.

I never did get that Nintendo 64...

I do believe in him....When I was little.

But now that I'm all grown up, I'm not even sure.... 😕 😕

I believed in him for a long time (till I was about 10 or 11). It was definitely in 4th grade - a girl in my class was being cruel and told me he didn't exist (after I had enthusiastically spoke up for Santa). I went home asked my mom about it, only to learn she had lied to me! shock It was really heartbreaking for me -- I cried and cursed my mom for days.

Incidentally, this was the same little girl who told me she routinely had sex with her boyfriend -- it was a big year for me to learn new things... >.<

What a fun topic~
I used to believe in Santa when I was younger. I was really enthusiastic so I always set out cookies and a glass of milk for him, then I'd hide and try to wait for him to arrive (I always fell asleep). However, that was all ruined in Kindergarten when my older brother was bullying me and decided to tell me Santa didn't exist. When I went to my parents I was devastated. 🤣

I was a big time believer in Santa. Believing in Santa always made it so magical when I was younger. ^^; I was in maybe 7th grade when I stopped believing. More cuz I grew out of it. When I found out I didn't take it that hard. I accepted actually. ^^;

Now that I'm older, Christmas is kinda boring now. More cuz it's not as magical as it was when I was little. Though I still love getting in to the Christmas spirit. 🙂

In Jamaica Santa Clause isn't celebrated like he is in the US.
