I want:
A manga where an one character goes through a near death situation and is saved by his lover. That, or the two of them can make it through something together and the experience ends up making their romance stronger. Even if a one gets ill or gravely hurt and is nursed to health (the nightingale effect sort of thing) ...Anything along those lines!

Examples:
-Crimson Spell In a scene the seme is poisoned and the uke watches over him.
-If any of you have read Scarlet and the White Wolf or The Nightrunner series (particularly the 4th volume) than that is what I’m looking for.

I like:
Drama
Fluff
Fantasy

I don't like:
Old art styles
Business men / suits

The only thing I can think of now is Gorgeous Carat but it's a shounen-ai and I can see that you didn't like Seimaden by the same author...

I'm cool with shounen-ai and almost always open to suggestions. I tend to judge a manga by the title itself and not so much the author (because it is all about the content). You never know where a hidden gem might be hiding, ya' know? So thank you for bringing this up! I'll be sure to check it out.

A Night of a Thousand Dreams had the uke rescue the sultan by scaming.
Summit had that awsome "jump, I'll catch you" escape scene
Agnus Dai- Lamb of God had the "I actually saved you from the murder"
My Life With You is prime example. the uke start chasing after the seme after he rescued him from the terrorists.
