Anyone know of a manga like Suzuka?

As in terms of this.

The main protagonist is thrown around, beaten, all for the sake of one girl. He tries his hardest, yet she ignores / fails to notice him.

Than through the manga the protagonist gets the better side of her, but cannot take enough and just does something in a way, makes the girl feel awful. (As in she lust for him but he does what he's been doing to her back at her.. confusing I know)

What would you call this?

Anyhow, I justed finished Asa mo Hiru mo Yoru mo where if the guy wasn't so determined to win her over, he would have left since he has other interested girls and that she's not always tactful with him (but I feel good in that she's not a weak female towards him), but it's shoujo... So somehow you're expecting a romantic-type situation without the romance? O_o
