i read EVERYTHING , but sometimes i avoid SOME tragedy , ecchi , sports & Sci-fi mangas
i dont avoid it totally but read the summary first and then decide...to not read it
and i just realized that i never read any Horror mangas - this i dont even need to check to know i wont like it

first of all I don't read any shojo or josei.

Then I don't read mecha, gender-bender, yaoi and I'm not much into sports but I still read some.

Err... you can say my tastes are pretty liberal when it comes to manga. 😃
I can just about read anything given that it has a good rating or reputation. Genres that I tend to avoid on a nonchalant day are: shounen (the generic kind); sports; loli; ecchi; & slice of life.
Anything else is fair game on my list.

Therefore, you do not read everything.

I mainly read seinen. I try to steer clear of action since
I prefer to read something that has a meaning, instead of
looking at detailed battle sequences, which I just want to skip
due to boredom. I prefer slice of life to most stuff, but I won't
mind horror, drama or mystery. Just give me something that
stimulates one's brain a bit or lets me relax.
What comes to demographics, I don't really like to read
shōnen, due to minuscle amount of focus on the characters
and too much on something idiotic like ion sword fights
or shōjo, because the characters just happen to be plain retarded
and surreal most of the time.

I don't pay attention to the genres that much...
I don't like Shounen Ai and Yaoi that much, but I also read it when it sounds interesting (but that's rather rare...)
Shoujo Ai and Yuri also has to keep within limits, but I read that sometimes too^^
I can also say I don't like horror because I'm such a coward with this things... But I also really like some horror manga even if I nearly wet my pants because of themXD So I can't exclude that genre either...
Well, I can't think of a genre that I didn't read now, but those are the ones I don't read that often... Oh, and I don't read sports manga that much, but I don't have anything against them^^

i dont like shouta/loli, yuri, and historical. historical is just stupid to me, yuri i just dont like, and child porn grosses me out. FER SOME REASON I DONT LIKE CHILD PORN.

I don't read mecha, fighting shounen, harems (reverse or not), idiotic female leads in shoujo (i.e. Shinjo Mayu, and, often times, Minami Kanan), adventure, and non-romantic seinen (very often...). I try really, really hard to read them sometimes because I have issues dropping it once I started it (it especially hurts when I'm half way through and realize this manga goes against everything I believe in) but I work hard to steer clear of those from the get-go. 😃

I'll give anything that sounds interesting a try, no matter what the genre.
Although, the genres I've read the least of is probably sports or mecha. 😐

Anything that just have a lot nudity, sex and violence just turns me off completely.

I dont like yaoi, yuri, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, hentailolicon and shotacon. I dont read mecha or sports but there are some exceptions.

If the manga has a tragedy tag,or rape category, i spoil myself before starting to read the manga, so that i know what i'm getting into.

Usually don't like gender-benders because it's so full of angst. And when I first saw the title of the genre long ago, I thought it said gender 'blender.'

I only hate lolicon and shotacon, those weird/gross me out.

I don't really like ecchi. I don't really get the point of it. If I want to see hot, half (or fully) naked girls I'll read seinen smut or hentai.

I've never read a shounen or mecha manga. Whenever I read a shounen manga's summary I'm never really into it. There's always something else I'd rather read.

Harem. I prefer fixed pairings.
Shotacon. Seems weird that I liked Kurohime. ^^"
Yuri. Grosses me out.
I've lost my taste for Shoujo... well, some Shoujo, at least.
Sports. Not a sporty person.

I mainly read Shounen now, but a lil romance side-dish won't hurt.
