LOL. Obito's reason for evilness actually makes Sasuke look good in comparison, and that's saying something.
I figured with all the "I am no one" stuff, Tobi's back story would end up somewhat paralleling Kabuto's: a bad guy found him after the rock slide, forced him to do unpleasant undercover missions, he saw the evilness of the world up close and personal, etc., etc. Thematically it fits since the manga has something of an obsession with identity.
There's more going on here than we know (like where Obito got that other eye), but if, for real, Rin is the motivation for everything... soniamdisappoint.

his left eye he got from pain, thats why he was looking for his grave and foght the "paper lady"
after is read that Tobi had the same ability as Kakashi i suspected he was Obito, and leter I thought that no1 would ever suspect a "broken heart" motivation. I even thought that Obito was jealous of Kakashi, coz he got the girl, so he started an all-out-war( something like the "Hellen of Troy" kind of thing).
Any1 knows when Madara died?? Maybe he helped Obito out of the rubble

Tobi claimed he gave Nagato the Rinnegan, and his fight with Konan was to get the eyes back. (It was one of the main "plothole" objections as to why Tobi couldn't be Obito because he wasn't born when Nagato awakened the Rinnegan.)
So where did Obito originally get the extra eye that he supposedly gave to Nagato? (Unless that part was a huge mistranslation and it's actually like you said...?)

Completely off topic but his sig is from Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo it is rather funny.
I have a feeling there is more to Obito's reason for destroying the world and the Rin comment was more a stab at Kakashi rather than his primary motive...or it is an example of a bigger reason, like she would not have died if the world was not the way it was. That the world is corrupt and he is doing by fixing it.

When he claimed to have given the Rinnegan to Nagato he was pretending to be Madara and since there seems to be a connection between Obito and Madara it is likely Madara gave Nagato the eyes and Obito playing Madara would of course adopt his actions as his own.
