Hi. So, before I caved in and made an account on the site to manage my reading list, over the years there have, admittedly, been plenty of series that I forgot their name and story after I've read it, and I'm in the process of trying to fill these in. I'm going to start with a few and hope someone here recognises them.

1) A historical series set in Japan that is based on a real person (maybe the end of Edo period?). It follows the protagonist from when she was small to the big event in her life. The protagonist is a female who learn gun and would eventual help defend her hometown in an attack by the opposing faction. Iirc it is because of the change in power in Japan at the time. Her family was one of the first to accept the use of guns and her brother was an instructor. The epilogue part involved her marrying to a foreign guy.

2) A oneshot. Nothing spectacular, just two children living in a city surrounded by high walls and the tradition was that they aren't allowed to see what beyond the wall until they're of certain age. Beyond the wall was an endless ocean, I think.

3) A short manga which involves the protagonist and her friends/classmates going to a remote place via boat (island?) for intern. She ended up at this farm place that grow organic stuff (I'm not too sure). There's apparently someone there who looks familiar to someone else who turned out to be the son of the place. There was a part involving a cliff, and also rain.

4) Something about a girl falling in love with a vet?

Edit: 5) A fantasy ancient Chinese/Japanese kind of setting. The MC goes to this facility that trains people to fight. A kid got out of a secret space within the facility and the story involves them training. At one point there's this test htat involve climbing up from a frying pan as part of the test to repair people in the class.

Edit 2: Found 1. it's Yae no Sakura.

6) There is this fantasy manga that I remembered liking a lot, but not much else. It was really good, except that after I caught up at the time, I heard from someone who read it before that this thing wasn't getting updated at all. Iirc it has a somewhat cutesy art style that border between shounen and shoujo. It's entirely in a fantasy setting. There was a part that involved magic school but not your usual mainstream kind. There's also something about "miasma".

7) A creepy seinen(?) manga where people got eaten and then replace by the good version of themselves, who are actually monsters that need to eat a person not wanted by the society every Thursday. These monster have this really creepy smile.

Thanks! I recall it being named Island but couldn't find it anyway. Now it makes sense since it's a part of an anthology.

Teke Teke Rendezvous is a little bit both of three and four (or even a combination of the two).

Update

I found 5) Kokushi Musou!!, and after a lot of troubles and efforts (I wanna cry) 6) Hand x Red.Thank you to people who help me find the other series.

It's still frustrating how Hand x Red isn't getting updated. It looks generic but it's really good.
