Pride is one of the seven deadly sins... However, like many deadly sins, it's all about obsessing over pride and straying into vanity that makes it dangerous. Everyone needs a little pride if they want to make it in this world. Just don't let it rule your life.

However, I go with love. Now, love does not only have to be romantic. There are many types of love. Don't get me wrong, romantic love is valuable indeed (if you can find true love), but it is not the only thing. The love you share between family and friends is another kind of love that is important. Without love between your brothers and sisters (blood or not), one will live a pretty lonely life. And dying alone is one of man's biggest fears (not all, but some). There's also the kind of love you give to fellow mankind. That love is different, and maybe not as important as the other two, but it still important to me. Those who know me, know how poorly I think of mankind. I think mankind, in general, is sending this world into a downward spiral (not necessarily putting myself above this). However, that does not stop me from showing love to fellow man. I treat those around me in a kind manner. I help people in need of help if I can do it. I try my best to love mankind even though I know I'm not perfect and make mistakes. However, I do it because love is an important thing in my life (maybe most important).

Oh wow my opinion just changed. Not so much love as friendship, but pride would totally win. Yeah kinda just experienced that right now. Suppose I'm to prideful...
