It seems like Kubo finally got the message from his editor to hurry and move the plot along.
But something tells me that he was actually trying to get Bleach canceled with the slow plot progression. He did say that he wanted to be a fashion designer after Bleach, and for this Fake Karakura Town arc he did strech out the plot like crazy and had a lot of arrancar's releases look like prototypes for fashion designs (Albeit bad-looking designs).

I hope so too, but it doesn't really seem like Ukitake and Shunsui would be faking it. Ukitake's the weakest captain when it comes to physical strength and he got fucked up by Wonderweiss tearing through his back (And Stark's comment on how Aizen wanted to quickly wrap it up by sending Wonderweiss in gives us a huge hint as to how strong Wonderweiss must be). And then Shunsui taking a cero to the back from Starrk in his resurrección form should send him out for a while (Especially with the Vizard coming in now).

Poor Ukitake. 🙁 And since he isn't PLOT HAXX Ichigo nor ICE BUNSHIN Toshiro, I wonder how he'll get through this. Also, this makes you admire Urahara's strength, since Wonderweiss made the exact same attack at him.
