Random Animals in the Yard

Once there was a stork in my backyard. That's right, a STORK. When I was in coastal urban San DIego.
Also, once the next door neighbor's pit bull jumped over the fence and was stuck in our yard.
There was also some guy living our backyard garage a couple years ago. He was my mum's ex-boyfriend's friend, who always wore a pilot helmet and talked to himself. He just kinda showed up there one day without any notice; he never talked to any of us (besides the ex-boyfriend, of course).

We have the usual little gray/brown birds flying around, & the occasional stray cat. Rabbits & squirrels are pretty common; also quail (accidentally found a nest full of eggs in the front yard). A raccoon came by twice (that I know of), & we've also had a coyote & a moose...and I live in town...but it's a small town so we're also fairly close to farms & woods. 🤣

Right now nothing, in the neighbours' there are cats (I stalk them) 🤣
Back in hometown, birds, some random hamster (probably on a quest), lizards, frogs, sometimes cats and dogs.

A frog, a snake, a fox, a racoon, a few cats and a few rabbits, all on different occassions (except the snake and the frog; the snake was eating said frog)

Foxes.
Lots of foxes. Those damn bastards. They come right up to our patio doors and stick their heads in. Urban foxes are far too brave. If it wasn't against the law to shoot them I would.
I've also seen various different cats sneaking around my garden. I found a hedgehog years ago and lots of frogs like to hang out in our little island thing we have, with lots of plants in it so it's a damp environment, just what the frogs like.
Birds nests as well. We always have a few of them, not to mention other bloody birds making lots of noise in the mornings 🤣
My goodness where do you people live!?!? 😲 !!!!! Lol

I see a lot of cats in my neighborhood, and the occasional roadkill on the side of the road(it was a racoon).
Funny story; My mom lived in Korea, where there were a lot of rats and mice from where she lived. Wen she first came to America, and saw an opossum for the first time, she would scream her head off. I don't blame her since those critters look like giant rats (she reaaaallly hates their tails), though they are technically related to kangaroos...
And one time, i saw a chicken running around the neighborhood while i was power walking...weird.

We have two chickens who live in the backyard; our city allows up to six. They also allow sheep & goats inside city limits if you have a big enough yard, but ours is just barely too small. 🤣
Edit - someone else in my neighborhood also has chickens, but I'm not sure who...I can hear them now & then but have never seen them.
