I usually have sweaty hands so I don't need to lick my fingers to turn the pages, but when they are dry and I'm using one of my books then I feel free to do it. .__.

No I don't. It's horrible and imo a form of book abuse. I really hate it when I see my teachers doing it when they're grading papers

Not ALL the time! I've done it about once.. or five times, but it's definitely not a habit. It's a last resort for those pages that definitely will NOT turn! 🙂
I did however, lick my fingers to open plastic grocery bags. Those darn things sometimes never want to open for me :[

To answer the question properly I have seen people have proper grease that they use for opening pages, my dad's secretary uses one. Personally a page is never hard enough to flip or open, it just takes technique lol. So NO I never lick my fingers to open pages, my grandmother does and I think its pretty sick.

No, I tried that once to see if it helped. It didn't. It actually made it harder to get the pages apart. I don't have enough experience with page splitting. I don't want any either 😀
