Everytime I read a chapter of this manga I either want to cry out in fear or vomit because of the cruelness. So here's my question, is it going to be worth it to read this to the end or not?

don't know i never made it to the end i thought the same way and gave up on it

I have been reading it since vol 1 and have read up to the latest chap to be released. It is definitely not for everyone. I like it even though at some points it is really depressing. Very violent as you already know and it only gets worse. For me I have read so much that I feel it is worth it to read to the end. From the sounds of it I would probably suggest to you to not read it to the end and just stop.

True, Elfin Lied is not a series for someone who can't deal with immense amounts of graphic violence.

Yes, the cruelness is horrible. And it only gets worse. But, if you can stomach it, its worth the read.

it's not bad. I think it's just a manga for those that like yuri manga. I mean, it's not gory or horrible. You don't know cruelness until you read Berserk or any of MATSUMOTO Jiro's work. Keep on Vibrating for example.

Its great, I love violence and gore and elfen lied has it so I love elfen lied, love the manga and loved the anime

Still think Elfen Lied is more cruel. The cruelty in Berserk isnt really that bad cuz most of it happens to really minor characters. I mean, once you get to know the characters in Elfen Lied, of course its gonna be harder to watch them get tortured and raped and mutilated.

Gats gets raped when he was like 10 and Griff gets all his muscle and skin removed. Then they cut off his tongue and possibly his male organs. Gats's gf gets raped and then she had baby that's not human. It was a puddle of mutilated flesh of evil.

I go with xombie, although that Caska rape seen was a pain for me, If a guy gets raped in a manga I dont give a damn, Elfen lied is far more (okay, not far slightly more) gruesome
