Quote from Dr. Love
To other people, I don't. But for example, when you have to fill something in, I do that constantly!! Say hello to Mr. Squall Leonhart. ... Don't judge. 🤨 I live in Balamb Garden!
And yeah... when I was underaged for certain sites... o.o;;
I was cracking up when I read your post because I recently registered on a site as Squall Leonhart from Balamb Garden. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that.
Other than that I don't lie too often on the internet. However, like everyone else, I registered myself as 18 to get on certain sites when I was younger.

Quote from Sagaris
Everything I say is a lie.
Got to love the good old fashioned paradox.
I try to avoid it, but I imagine I lie as much online as I do in real life. That's just how things go, I think, it's a normal part of any variety of social interaction, whether you admit it or not.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

I'm the type who'd slip on a banana peel, break something into pieces and say "That was so me.". So no, I did not lie on the Internet, of course except for those registration thingies but I'm already 19 so there's no need for it anymore.

"I'll never meet anyone online in real life" is a very dangerous thought. It's not whether you'll meet anyone, but how much information can actually be tracked to a person. Believe me, you'd be surprised with what people can do with just a little bit of information.
With that said, on the intrawebz I just take on a fake identity. I answer with ambiguity and sarcasm all the time. In the end people just end up guessing whether I am this or that, which well, exactly is what I want. I don't really care if someone thinks that I'm a guy or a girl, if I come across either way, then so be it. But that doesn't really mean I change my personality online, I just prefer to not have any private information that can be connected back to myself be out there.

I don't think so.
Maybe little white lies.
But never about who I really am. xD
I really am 3 years old.

Just little white lies but I really do tell my right age and where I live and stuff.

I don't really lie to other people online. Maybe little white lies, but no more than I do offline. I like to be honest about my age and personality wherever I am. I do lie whenever a site asks me for personal information I dont want to give like my address or phone number though.

"I don't trust the net! Special agents are monitoring everything we post!"
0.o For my sake, I sure hope not. But anyway, I've put fake addresses (according to myspace, I live in Japan), but only because I don't want to give out where I really live. I click on the wrong year for my birth date sometimes too, Raeryn. ^^
This topic makes me want to hide my age now because I feel that no one needs to know. I'll get over it in a few weeks, most likely. XD

If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.
