Protective guys

Hi there, I'm looking for mangas (animes too but mostly mangas) about (or including, but it has to be a major part) one or more guys being protective of a young girl or boy.
The genre doesn't matter much but I prefer shounen and shounen ai. Shoujo is fine too though.
I've read Samurai Deeper Kyo and Inuyasha which have a bit of what I'm looking for though they are too much about the guys for my taste.
I've also watched Samurai Champloo which is a bit more like what I what.

Karneval somewhat. There isn't any shounen-ai stated, but the subtext IS there. 😀

I guess Pandora Hearts qualifies because of how over-protective Gilbert is of Oz. But don't expect any BL here.

I second 07 Ghost and Silver Diamond. But if you ask me, Karneval isn't really like that; no-one is being noticeably over-protective of anyone, and there are no shounen-ai vibes in it.
As for the romance department; Kagetora sounds about right. I haven't read it, though.
Well... then there's also Until Death Do Us Part - but it's seinen.

Karneval should count since Gareki is overprotective of Nai... It's Josei, though, but there's nothing too bad in it. I really like this series, and the story is really fun to read 😛
Pandora Hearts is another... It's my favorite series of all time. Gil is way overprotective about Oz... Anyway, you'll definitely love this series. The story is just... Divine.
Blah, here's a shoujo manga for the heck of it: Kachou wa Maid sama. Usui is pretty protective of Misaki...
In Are You Alice?, Mad Hatter has to protect Alice from any enemies, so... Throwing this in, too.
