Hey everyone,

This thread is just for people to vent about manga series that got turned into animes, but ended before their time.

What series do you think deserves another season?

What series do you think should have ended earlier?

Personally, i think that they should finish off the Hikaru no Go series since they already started to show the final arc. I also hope that they make new seasons of Kekkaishi and History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. (I've continued reading the manga from where these two series ended and i have to say that they are still good.)

I think that they should have ended the Prince of Tennis series earlier.

I personally wish they would animate another season of Claymore. I'd have taken more Tenjho Tenge anime as well.

Series that should have ended earlier, hmm? Can't really say. most of the time if it's a series I enjoy I'm happy to see as much of it animated as possible, and if it's a series I don't enjoy I don't really care how long it goes.

From the past few seasons, probably Kurenai, Spice & Wolf, Baccano and MuShiShi deserve another season, or more.

If 5cm per Second ended after the first part, I would've considered it a masterpiece, but the last part spoiled it a bit.

Crap like Strike Witches should've ended before the first episode.

I wish that they would make another series of Host Club, as the manga's still going I haven't given up hope yet!
And Basara it ended kind of abruptly so another season would have been nice to finish it off.

It's cool. I know it's an opinion. Everyone's going to have different tastes. There's probably something you like that I would potentially call crap as well.

zero no tsukiama in its second season they left a lot of unanswered questions as in who the hell is the big boobed fairy

i was nervous at first it was big & long & went straight up i had to try it i eased onto it & liked it! i went up & down on it.... i love escalators now! 😀

Isn't Mushishi from ~2005? Not exactly recent. Great show though.

Most of the things I want additional seasons of are already getting them (Black Lagoon, Haruhi, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (well, it's Umineko, but Umineko actually explains a bit of what was actually going on), Ef, etc.

Generally speaking, I think we should just stop allowing Gonzo to produce original shows. If they have a decent source material, usually they do a good job (see NHK, Bokurano, Seto no Hanayome, etc), but seriously, Dragonaut? Blassreiter? Even the stuff that originally has potential (Speed Grapher, for instance) ends up terrible in the end...

That's just me venting though. Carry on.

EDIT: Zero no Tsukaima's third season already started...

Yeah, I agree about Hikaru no Go, the manga and anime should have gone on. Hikaru was only like 15 when the story ended, it could have gone on a little more until he was like number one or something. Ghost Hunt needs another season, it hardly ended. Ouran Koukou host club needs another season.

Personally, I really wish they'd continue the anime for RAVE, Hunter x Hunter and Ouran High School Host Club the art and portrayal were better than the manga IMO

I second the continuation on Wolf and Spice. There's enough material for another 26 episodes since they made 13 episodes of the first 2 vol of the novel and there are 6 vol out(I think?)

I second Baccano! (Novel) as well

Finally, there's Seirei no Moribito since the anime was only book one out of 10...

P.S. I don't really need to wish for it since I'm positive Studio Comet will see School Rumble through to the end

Gonzo have really whored themselves to oblivion. What happened to the quality we saw in GankutsuOu, Last Exile and Saikano(student work).

BTW... never realized Bokurano was by Gonzo.

BERSERK ... i have no idea why they stopped at season 1... i mean they DID call it season 1, and for 5 years they never released season 2... wondering if they were low on budget or couldnt get the author to make another contract or whatever you call it for second seasoning...

I really wish they'd restart Ten Ten... or at least put out some OVA's (with the full content of the manga...)
