Well this was expected in a way.
The 8-tails has to be pretty strong so that Sasugay uses his new Shaningay and shows just how much more unbeatable he is...
At this point I just hope they fight to a draw or something and the 8-tail dude survives.
The manga needs a few new cool characters...
On a side note: I guess I wasn't the only one who recognized the quote.

I'm kinda hoping for the 8-tails to be blind. That way the Sharingan wouldn't have such a big impact on him, plus could explain why he's wearing glasses. 😎

Also he didn't seem to know that they were Akatsuki in the beginning. At least that was like that for me. And that's kind of weird since they're all wearing the traditional Akatsuki capes. So either he's from a backwater village or he really is blind. Hopes for the latter. 😁

Nice how he countered Sasuke's Chidori sword too. 😮

i'm in agreement with that theory too, it would give him a heads up with the Magenkyo. i'm assuming Sasuke doesn't know how to use genjutsu to affect the other sense either (since he seems heavily reliant on his Sharringan).

I laugh. That's really all I have to say.

It might even be that Itachi foresaw that Madara would send Sasuke to the 8-tails, so he went there first to assess the 8-tails' strength. Could be why he wasn't in shape when he started Sasuke's fight instead of the fact he gave some powers to Naruto.

The 8-tails did repeat Akatsuki in his head when he heard the name from Sasuke, as if he had some previous experience with them. It's far-fetched though, but still possible. 🤨
