How much in the city/country where you live is basic things like:
- A bottle of water.
- A can of beer/bottle of wine.
- A pack of cigarettes.
- A meal at a fast food joint.
- A meal at a restaurant.
- Pack of gum.
- A video game.
- A graphic novel - aka a manga.
9 . A T-Shirt. - A pair of sneakers.
- Movie theater ticket. (added after drawn's post).
For me in Seoul, it's
- A bottle of water. - 1-1.5$
- A can of beer/bottle of wine. Beer can - $2, wine-not sure.
- A pack of cigarettes. - About 1-3$.
- A meal at a fast food joint. - About 3$ at Mcdonalds.
- A meal at a restaurant. - 5-10+$.
- Pack of gum. - 30cents.
- A video game. - 30-80+$.
- A graphic novel - aka a manga. - 4-5+$.
9 . A T-Shirt. - 5-30+$. - A pair of sneakers. - 15-50+$.
- Movie theater ticket. - 9$.
I've noticed that prices are rising where I live, so I may edit the numbers a bit later.

- A meal at a fast food joint. - $4-10

- Pack of gum. - 5 stick or 15 stick? 5 stick is 15 cents, 15 sticks is a buck.

- A graphic novel - aka a manga. - $6.50 -10
9 . A T-Shirt. - $6 - $30+ - A pair of sneakers. - $10-60+
- Movie Ticket - $6-14, depending on where you go, if you get some sort of discount for being a student, if you have a membership at that theater, ect.

Why not just buy 3 packs of 5 for 45 cents then? more than half price, lol.
A bottle of water = ~£1.20
A can of lager/bottle of wine = £1-3 (I don't drink so wouldn't know), wine would be £3+ I think.
A pack of cigarettes = Don't know, not smoking is cheaper.
Fast food = (£1.99 happy meal) £3-£5
Restaurant = £9-15 (for 1 person, 1 course, no drinks)
Video Game = new - £35-50, used £10-30
Graphic Novel = £5.99-6.99
T-Shirt = £5-15
Sneakers = ... you mean trainers? £15-50, if they're £15 expect them to break in 2 weeks.
I haven't bought a packet of gum in ages, but less than £1.
Approximate current exchange rate is 1 GBP = 1.92 USD
Some prices may not be entirely accurate. I buy new clothes/shoes once every 5-8 years for example.
Lose - Opposite of win, to misplace something/someone. e.g. To lose your way, to lose a fight.
Loose - Opposite of tight. e.g. To have a loose screw, to loosen a jar lid.
^ Not just scanlators, but also company documents are getting it wrong now!

USA, San Francisco area (if we get into real estate costs... Well, let's just not go there.)
Bottle of water- $1.00-2.50
Alcohol- Honestly, I don't really know, but it seems to vary a lot depending on the brand here.
Cigarettes- It seems to be around $5, once again varies by brand. I don't smoke, so I don't pay any particular attention.
Fast food- $4-9, depending on what you order.
Restaurant-If you go to a cheap place or a cafe, as low as $4 or 5. Otherwise, 9-20+ depending on the quality, or at least the class and reputation.
Gum- $.15-2.50, depending on size and all that.
Video Game- 30-60 typically.
Graphic Novel- Manga is technically 7.50-14 (i.e. retail) but I order most of mine online for much cheaper.
T-shirt- a plain white shirt with nothing on it is probably about $3. Otherwise 6-30+.
Sneakers- Averages between 30 and 90, depending on the needs and trendiness. I'm the type of person that always buys almost exactly the same shoes (and they're black at that, so you can never actually tell if they're new), and they cost 50-65, depending on the store and whether or not there's a sale.

I live in two different cities [NYC and one in Connecticut] so I'll do a range between the two. NYC is more expensive than where I live in CT.
- A bottle of water.: $0.99 - $2.00
- A can of beer/bottle of wine.: Really depends on what kind you get... a bottle of wine could go from $7.00 - $80-ish. Beer, if you get a 24oz. is around $1 at a convenience store.
- A pack of cigarettes.: $4.50 - $8.00
- A meal at a fast food joint.: $5.00 - $7.00
- A meal at a restaurant.: $7.00 - $30+
- Pack of gum.: $1.00 - $3.00
- A video game.: $15.00 - $65.00
- A graphic novel - aka a manga.: $9.95 - $12.95
9 . A T-Shirt.: $5.00 - $30.00+ - A pair of sneakers.: $20.00 - $65.00+
Another interesting thing to compare is the price for movie tickets. I know at least in the US, it varies by area. In CT it's $9.00 for an adult, while in NYC it's between $10.25 - $13.00.
- A bottle of water. $1.00 for a 16oz. bottle, 1 gallon for $1.25
- A can of beer/bottle of wine. $1.00- A lot
- A pack of cigarettes.Bout $2.50-$3.00
- A meal at a fast food joint.$3.00 dollar menu ftw
- A meal at a restaurant.$6.00-$100
- Pack of gum. 50 cents
- A video game. $20-$70
- A graphic novel - aka a manga.$10-$15
9 . A T-Shirt.$5-$50 - A pair of sneakers.$20-$150
- Movie theater ticket.$2-$12

"Ugh... 50+" is that whining or more like "uhh I dunno?"? It's like 100 here 😛 If not more sometimes. (Sweden) Expensive here. Add maybe 1-2 dollars on the food items and you get our prices. We make more money than in America though.
