The "word on the tip of my tongue" situation
So, does it happen to you? Well, the poll is supposed to be about how you deal with it, so that is it.
I have seen friends go crazy over it all the day, I personally wouldn't go that far, but then I usually find it after a while. If it's too vague and I can't even put it into words, well, I let it go.

As soon as this happens to me I have to get everyone I'm with involved until we can figure it out. I get over it eventually, but it bugs me for quite awhile.
It is also annoying that as soon as I don't care anymore I remember the work I was looking for. 🤨

I ask those I'm talking to if not I ponder it for half an hour or so until I give up. It always comes to me a few days later 🤣

I can spend hours trying to find out what I wanted to say. I'm just that kind of person 🤣
Sadly enough, I usually only remember what I wanted to say after I stop thinking about it!

I try to find it for a couple minutes, but give up if I don't seem to be any closer. It usually justs rolls around in the back of my mind for awhile and then, hours later, it'll come to me. 😃 I like the self-satisfaction I get from realizing it, but, by then, none of the people I was talking to earlier really care anymore. 😔

I usually never stop until I figure it out or I get my friends to help me out
No one gives a shit what trite garbage you write here.
I'm really stubborn so ya, I won't stop until I know. D=
It can go on for many hours, I drive my mother mad sometimes. >=D

I try it for a couple of minutes then leave it alone.

I try to remember what I was talking about before.. and then attempt to piece things together. Then if recalling the information doesn't work, I just give up. Because these epiphanies usually come when I'm not thinking too hard about it. Like looking for a lost item. XD

Try for a while & then leave it alone...and a day or so later it'll suddenly pop into my head. 🤣

I try for a while and then give up, figuring it isn't that important to use that specific word if there are alternatives.

I try to figure it out but if I can't in a couple of minutes then I leave it alone. I'll usually remember what it was later.
