Unless your Jewish or Muslim. Muslim even worse because it's usually performed when your seven years old.

There ought to be an 'I'm not sure' option, for those of us who haven't run across either one or the other of the two options to be able to make a comparison.
So, I just won't vote. =)
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

In Malaysia, in was usually performed when you're 9-11 years old. It's very interesting because every year on semester school break, they will be having a ceremony for circumcising a lot of boys on the same day. The ceremony was always so festive. Fire engine plays a big part of the ceremony. The firemen will be shooting water at the kids. The old people said that it will slightly ease the pain and also to add some fun element to the ceremony. Long before the fire engine existed, it was said that the kids will be immersed in river for a period of time before the ceremony took place.

It is not the topic is going to be an argument but it was just to point out the assumption of HIV virus spreading faster or slower in circumcision.
Also the topic is Does circumcision matter ?
You have to expect people giving reasons for their choice

My mom is one of those Religious African women who wanted me to be circumcised for religion reason. I was surprised that girls can get it to, but now these days it illegal.(THANK GOD)
My friend and I have very religious mothers and they both wanted us to get it done because they both already have gone thought it. The real reason why they really want us to get it because, they dont want use to become Teen Age Mothers....
After the circumcision, all the girl sex urges are gone. They wouldn't be able to walk for 3 weeks or less. If they do end up having sex, you would end up have more Pain the Pleasure.......

I have to agree with Liria on this. I've only ever had experience with those that were, so I can't honestly state if one is preferred over the other.

naaaah~~ 7 years old is not a necessity. but it is done before puberty. and general thought is that if doesn't really know what that is he cannot get scared. and most of the parents i know get it done as soon as the baby born.
and as far as i can see surgey is not as painful as it was about 10 years ago. and as a tradition here, there should be a biiiig celebration after circumcision so i can say from what i see hat boys are quite happy~~

And some of my lil cousins ran away when they were called or already sitting on the clinic bed and begged their moms to let them have their circumsition NEXT YEAR.
and OUT-OF-CURIOSITY, I peeked my brother's circumsion from the window.ohlololoolololololololoolololololollll 🙄

Hm. Well. As an adult female, I really don't care if a guy I may be dating is circumcised or not - chances are he had no choice in the matter, anyway.
As a mom, though, I'm pretty strongly against it. I haven't seen any conclusive evidence that it's beneficial and the procedure does carry risks.
In the US, unless it's done for religious reasons (which are the exception rather than the rule), it's basically a cosmetic surgical procedure done on newborn infant boys. Uh, hello?? Cosmetic surgery on an infant?? No thanks. It can always be done later if the guy decides he wants it done.

Guess this is aimed at girls, so I don't vote 😛
If given the choice I'd choose not to have it done, don't want to lose any sensations, but I'm aware many guys have it done at a young age and do not get the choice.
I read some various comments of people who had it done later in life, some prefer it circumcised, some say it loses too much sensation.
If a girl refuses to date a guy who is uncircumcised, that seems too conditional and I find it offensive. I also would never get circumcised to please somebody else.
(maybe circumcision is more important in some cultures...but I don't know enough about that to comment)
@ Browine - Yeah I've read all about that, african girls sure have it harsh, reading about what they do disturbed me!

Agree with the being a mom part. But I've heard that if the foreskin happens to be too tight or too much, something like that, there's still the need to have it done? Correct me if I am wrong.

It doesn't mean you have to do it to please someone. It's actually no different from refusing to date those outside one's own religion or culture (It's important in some cultures and girls there prefer to date within their cultures). People have conditions all the time, with their reasons. That's why I don't find that offensive at all.
But there are those who prefer not to date men who are circumcised too. Not sure about the reasons. Can vary I guess.

This may be far more than some people want to know... 🤣
It's called "phimosis" and actually...I learned the term from manga~ 🤣 Google & wiki have lots of information about it (which I won't repeat here). It can happen, but it's not common enough to justify circumcising EVERY baby boy.
Plus most people don't realize that it's normal for the foreskin NOT to retract all the way until young adulthood - it naturally adheres, which also means that bacteria etc. don't really get under it.
