Viz announced today that they will be releasing 5 volumes a month, every month, from January to June of 2010. Thoughts?

I want to jump for joy, but One Piece has never been as popular in the states as Bleach or Naruto to those carpet munchers at the bookstores.

About time I'd say, the slow pace of non-naruto series in NA really annoys me, it's about time Viz started doing something about the other series. Heck, they're still in the alabasta arc and shonen jump is only promoting naruto and shafting every other series.

That sounds good...Finally they're going to catch up. While they're at it they should stop calling Zoro, "Zolo." It just bugs me. >_>; But that sounds good, I buy the manga here so thats a nice message to hear. Yeah...I think 4kids slaughtered the anime when they had it which prolly lowered the popularity. Oh well.

Its really stupid to have One Piece at Alabasta but they decide to skip god knows how many chapters of Naruto to catch up to Pain's invasion.
I think they skipped Sasuke's arc which was a good thing because if people had to read through that crap in Jump then Naruto's popularity probably would of fell off.

I was talking how Jump skipped chapters in the magazine in order to catch up with the magazine in Japan. They would give you a recap of a couple of chapters that was skipped each month.
