Also I'll use this chance to thank you for recommending 'The Secret History' in topic Incest in novels. The book simply blew me away.
It's one of my favourite books, I'm happy that you liked it too 🙂
I may be pessimistic, but it seems that most of the musicians, artists etc. tend to get worse after they become successful. Maybe they run out of enthusiasm, or something.

My biggest disappointment is Radiohead. I didn't like the new electronic sound they took even if it brought them critical acclaim and rise to the fame. What happened to the angsty, old Creep?

oh no u din't!
They didn't get worse; They evolved. As much as I love everything about Radiohead, Pablo Honey was pretty unoriginal in my opinion. And if you really listen - their songs still have that sort of underlying cynicism and desperation (not really "angsty," but...). I think that they have come a long way and matured, musically and lyrically.
Changing direction to appeal to a greater audience seems common for most artists, but not anyone can do it successfully. And sadly, a major part of the that shift is profit oriented.
I'd like to add Kings of Leon. Youth and Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak were nice, but the last 2 albums - not so much. And they look like d-bags now. Also, The White Stripes - I stopped listening after Elephant.

Off the top of my head right now:
-
Won't say JK Rowling's gotten worse, but the Harry Potter books progressively got worse imo
-
Poppy Z Brite: Her old stuff was wayyy better than her new stuff
-
Panic at the Disco: turned out to be a bunch of losers who write ridiculous lyrics
-
The Body Shop perfume makers (perfume-making is an art too I'm sure...)
-
Kesha (need I say any more?) 😔

Depeche Mode is one of the few music groups i liked lol
when their album Exciter showed up i started feeling bad for ever liking the group
that album made me disslike their old songs
and when the horror fest that is Paper Monsters[dave gahans solo album] came along i stopped listening to depeche mode alltogether
it seems without the massive drug and alcohol abuse they cant do good music

Took me long time to reply.
Well for starters don't take my opinion too seriously. Most of the fans agree with you and they like the way Radiohead evolved. But for me no matter how imperfect, clumsy and unoriginal, as you say, their music sounded in the beginning, I liked it.
A metaphor I could use is a young, brash, unspoiled child. Even If the adult is perfect the child still has something that draws me in. It's kind of hard to convey it into words so maybe it's difficult to understand.
Anyway, I still listen to Radiohead including their new stuff and, maybe not as much as before, I like them.
