Not really. HEN is more about a "straight" girl who finds herself in love with another girl. The guy who's interested in her is only there for a few chapters at the beginning.
The only thing I can really suggest is the Kannazuki no Miko anime. There is a guy and another girl going after the same girl in that. It's not really focused on the guy though and that girl doesn't really probably consider herself a lesbian either in the beginning.

hmm... this kinda fits the bill but might not be quite what what you are looking for, but have you tried Utopia of Homosexuality?- the only catch is both main characters are gay to start off with. ohh, it has a school setting though.

Yeah, I heard about the manga; haven't had a chance to read it myself.
From what I hear though, it's supposedly a bit harder to recommend than the anime.
