I've been lurking here for about 3 or 4 years and I haven't registered until now because I didn't want to think of a username. But you're wrong and no one seemed to question this so I just had to register finally.

1. Espada doesn't mean anything in Japanese
2. Caja Negacion-not japanese
3. Cero- not japanese, and does not mean bullet in spanish
4. hiero- not japanese
5. Ekusekiasu- not spanish

I don't know how you could have possibly thought any of these had similar meanings in Spanish and Japanese.

They are katakana words - loan words from different languages. The romanji wouldn't be exactly the same as the spanish (Cero would be romanji sero - katakana セロ; not sure about a long vowel, I've never seen raws with hollow terms). There isn't meaning attached without translation (Kanji or hiragana - not sure which it is for bleach manga but I think it's kanji which hold meaning in each character).

You may not agree with his claim about the mangaka but he is right about the translation.

I've looked at some raws and there are kanji for the meaning with katakana for the pronounciation. The kanji are just an attempt to show the meaning of the spanish word.

and thats why reading raws is a pain in the ass for me. i dont mean a pain really (japanese was my first language), its just a little different after you are in the groove for reading WSJ

Based on this description in sounds like Kubo just decided that is what it means and that it otherwise has no meaning in Japanese. So, essentially its like making a crude drawing of cowboys having a shootout in the wild west then attaching a post-it note that insists its The Scream by Edvard Munch. Which means I'm exactly right unless I misinterpreted what you mean about the Katakana/Kanji.

I'm not trying to put the series down or anything I think its great, but I really find it hard to believe that several words would have the same meanings in two languages that sound nothing alike.

Portuguese is closely related to Spanish, and Espada does appear in it. Anyways, whether it's true or not, that's still no proof of genius-ness.

No one's saying they are Japanese words. They are katakana (phonetic) pronounciation of Spanish words, the kanji are to provide the japanese with a general translated meaning.

The Japanese language has many katakana words.
Just because they are katakana words does not mean they have no meaning in Japanese - I suppose you claim that coffee doesn't mean anything in Japanese? It is also a katakana word. Your comparison between Katakana words and The Sream is a false analogy.

Of course a phonetically similar word will not have the same meaning between two vastly different languages with different origins. No one was saying that they are original Japanese words.
