Sasuke isn't a bad guy. He didn't leave with Orochimaru to over throw the world. He left to gain power to kill the man who destroyed his family and entire clan.

Look at all the fights he's had against "good guys". They come at Sasuke ready to use lethal force to capture him. But what is his crime? Wanting a murderer to be bought to justice? Look at it from Sasuke's perspective:

People are coming after him SOLELY because he wants to see a murderer bought to justice!!! Why are Konoha ninja trying to stop him from bringing criminals of Konoha to justice? Its like the entire village has turned their back on the Uchiha and don't want anybody investigating further into it (although the revelation explains why thats the case).

Also, look at what Sasuke has done... he's killed two high ranked criminal ninjas that came close to destroying to Konoha (Orochimaru) and the Sand Village (Deidara). How many "good guys" have done that much good?

Sasuke isn't even mean spirited. When Madara was like, "yeah we'll destroy Konoha, " Sasuke was like, "no, I only want to kill the elders who ordered my clan to be killed."

Naruto goes crazy and starts smacking up the girl he loves... nobody says a thing. Sasuke thinks criminals should be bought to justice and now he's public enemy #1.

Sasuke isn't so much a bad guy but more of a hypocrite. his reasons for leaving Konoha were that connecting with people were tying him down and making him weak. now he's saving Karin as if she was a long time friend of his. then let's not forget how he reacted towards Itachi's true story, when Madara told him. all of a sudden all the years of hate he had for his brother vanishes into the air and he's throwing the remaining parts of it to Konoha.....
also the fact that he took out two S-class criminals as plot devices like we said earlier. besides which they were extremely weakened already. Itachi as an example he wouldn't have won if it wasn't for the fact that he overused his powers all this time. Susano-O sealed the deal for him on himself. he only one he seriously beat was Deidara, that was one of the only S-class criminals you can really count as a win. but other than that though Shikimaru, Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto have done the same in a sense.

Everything he's done has been to do that. The Uchiha were a part of Konoha so he has to be insanely pissed that Konoha was doing absolutely nothing to bring Itachi to justice and they were telling him to stop complaining about his clan being slaughtered.

That doesn't make him a bad guy. I don't think people should be shocked that he saved Karin. He's not an evil and heartless. character at all. Nothing about him is evil and none of his actions really paint him as evil... in my opinion.

I think that you have to be of the opinion that revenge is bad no matter what in order to consider Sasuke as a bad guy. Even then he isn't heartless.

Dude... he was under the impression that his brother just went psycho and killed everyone. He found out that in reality the elders of Konoha ORDERED him to kill his entire village and then banished him to hide the truth. I think he has every right to be pissed at Konoha and I don't think he's evil because of it.

the thing is Konoha had it's reasons for doing so, though it wasn't all of Konoha, since it was just Danzou and the Advisers idea of the action. their reasons for doing so was of course cause of Madara and the growing number in the clan that were starting to feel his point of view. Madara's story pointed out such things and why it happened. Itachi couldn't be brought to justice like you said so easily cause of the fact that he was part of that secret mission the higher ups put him into. it's not Konoha was doing nothing about it either.
it is shocking he saved Karin cause it was because of heroic and sentimental reasons he decided to leave Konoha. he left with every intention of becoming heartless, and not caring about the safety of others in order to get his revenge. yet he's saving her from dying.
it's not really based on the opinion of revenge is bad, it's more like the choices he's made to try and work himself as bad. the only problem is that he says he's going to do one thing like helping Akatsuki destroy Konoha and capture all the remaining Jinchuriki's. but he ends up doing something like this, and thinking about team 7, or even crying about Itachi's death. it all just points to hypocrisy, that's one of the major reasons why everyone is feeling angry and tired of Sasuke. half of the choices he's made just makes everyone want to say, "why the hell did he leave then in the first place?".
it's understandable that he would be made at the elders for it, but then you have to understand that if he's going to be mad about them using Itachi for that. then why would he want to destroy something his brother loved so much, that he even went so far as to brand himself a murderer of his clan, for? he was even told the names of the people from Madara too. Sasuke can be seen as evil for this idea cause he knows what the village is like, and he knows fully well that a majority of the village wouldn't go along with such actions done to his family. plus he knows how peaceful the village is itself, with all the innocent people that do live there. all he's doing is dancing in Madara's palm and helping him try to destroy what used to be his home. it's not a matter of being pissed it's a matter of immaturity.

I think that something that summarize the actions of Sasuke is: the character behaviour is gradually becoming inconsistent, thus destroying all that was built onto it. We must thank Kishimito, really a perfect work to depict him like a psycotic or a disturbed person (now he wants revenge, now he wants to save his friends, now he wants to destroy his village and so on...)

Even in small series, i still didnt witness such a poor-unfortunate-crappy-absurd (pick one or more) development for a char. It feels like there are remaining just a few chaps before the end of the manga, and the mangaka wraps it up without logic, just to tie all the ends. Thinking that we are, mm at 2/3 of the manga (at least imho), this is silly and absurd.

@jrdragon2003- Sasuke does not view all of konoha as his enemy he doesnt want any1 from konoha to get hurt other than those in charge and he said this to wich madara replied to get to the top you must first kill some peons. secondly about him being a hypocrite he didnt leave konoha with the intention of loosing his heart he left with the intention of becoming stronger we dont know if he was ever planning on coming back when he was done with itachi but he knew that konoha couldnt teach him anything to gain power so he joined orochimaru also just because he saved some one doesnt necesarily mean that he cares about them he could have just had more use for karin i mean come on you bite her and your healed wtf i wan tsome one like that around me 24/7, all though that flash back of team 7 was an indication that he is starting to care for them. itachi didnt really care about konoha he just wanted to avoid a war if he had left the uchiha alone they would have carried out there coup'de tat and then konoha would have been weaken leaving it open for attack killing many innocent ppl that didnt deserve it and lastly the elders could have found another way to control the uchiha with out having them all killed i refuse to believe that sasuke was the only child in the whole uchiha clan there must have been more of them and obviously they wernt going to have anything to do with the coup so why kill them there couldve been another way i say kill those old biches.
@Mr. sickVisionz- even though i think sasuke is bad ass and he deserves his revenge he joined with orochimaru and practiced alot of forbidden jutsu so that kinda means his pretty much willing to any but murder to gain power he could have found another way to be stronge maybe some training from jiraiya aswell or maybe he couldve just learned everything from orochimaru and head back to konoha whats he got to hide for he knows itachi is after naruto so wouldnt the best course of actoin be to sit patiently and wait for him to get him to be honest the fact that he even found itachi was amazing he was just walking around aimlessly
@timlin737- he spent 3 years training with orochimaru learning all of his justus i say he earned all that power he has hell in 3 years of training he surpassed naruto which also trained for 3 years.
