I came across this looking through scanlation sites but forgot to write down the name and am now striking out when it comes to finding it as I can remember so little of the plot.

It had to do mainly with two boys; one with short blonde hair, the other with longer black/dark brown as I remember from the tank cover. The blonde one was normal but then got involved somehow with genetic experiments/got experimented on? That part I'm not so sure about. But the other boy was part of this race of people who were like lizard people? Part lizard? Part dinosaur?

And there weren't a lot of lizard people girls? Or reproduction was really hard on them so lots of them died?

The dark haired boy had a crush on the blonde boy who was not so sure about the whole lizard people thing.

I'm so frustrated! I wanted to try this series so much! Any point in the right direction would be most appreciated!
