This occurred to me as well when I was browsing the forum. I personally have nothing against the Adult threads but minors have a right to be protected from such content I guess.

Edit: oh right you know what? I just saw the new rule that's been added which states that all topic titles must be non-offensive, suitable for all ages, etc. I suppose that's a workaround.

But still...wouldn't it be better to just filter it out instead. I mean, so the title is non-offensive, so not knowing if its adult thread, a minor might click and see an Adult discussion...

EDIT: let me rephrase that...making the title suitable for all ages just increases the chances that a minor might click on it...so i'll also support the filtering...and should probably be an option when registering too...

Yeah but it IS in the adult forum so if they click it accidentally well then... the Internet /is/ a dangerous place, since they could also "accidentally" see inappropriate material elsewhere on the Internet.

Definitely the best thing to do will be to have either an opt in/opt out choice so people can decide for themselves, but yeah I suppose time constraints affected their ability to do so. Maybe we can look forward to it next time?

if you take a look at the "when did you loose your viginity" thread you'll see that there are some people that are comming in that are not adults (18 and up) this might be a good factor to take a look into.

Personally I don't mind too many of the adult (18+) threads, but the one about the underwater blowjob really crossed the line I think. Just having a title like that is bad enough, but actually having the link in the thread... It's one thing to just talk about it, but to show everyone it is another. A lot of members who aren't 18 or older are very active in the 18+ threads, ahem chueisha ahem, but I don't see it as that big of a deal, in fact, they tend to liven up the thread quite a bit.

Hopefully it shouldnt be a problem now if people follow the rules. I never use the latest topics bit myself, I always hit the 'new posts'.

The only way you could look at new posts without risking seeing something you dont want peers to see is to browse each forum individually, as even if you turn 18+ post off in the 'latest posts' section, they will still appear in the 'posts since you last logged on' list.

So i guess this would mainly be for the people who don't visit the forum section much. I'm not sure if that would take a while to code xD

Yeah, that's totally correct. None of the rest of us can code anything for the site, so we're just doing what we CAN do, which is add/enforce some new rules until Manick can get working on his stuff

Almost any business that has work stations their employees use now run software on those PCs that monitor not only the screen (allows an IT guy to view your screen and even take over the mouse from you at any time) but some are now employing a keyword search on all text a user has on his/her screen. if a flagged word is found an IT who is at a monitoring station will have the screen brought up. all the user could be doing is seeing if there is an update to his/her favorite manga so they can read it when they get home, but now they are flagged for improper content on their workstation from a post on the main page.

so yeah, being able to turn it off would be nice, though if u are gonna do that, I would also recommend to make the releases section have the option for logged in users to auto avoid certain genres. that way manga titles do not flag the user as well. if you do not want 18+ forum topics, you probably do not want 18+ manga releases.

Also give me one good reason why 18+ threads without disturbing titles should be excluded from the main page..? If they don't like it, they shouldn't click it..
