Ditzy girls with balloon-sized breasts.
Jerk-ass love interest.
Bad plot, good art and vice-versa.
A dragging storyline or one that's too short.
When the girl hits a guy even though he accidentally peeks on her when it's not even his fault.
Foul-mouthed female characters and sometimes male.
Girls who purposely try to seduce a male character with their assets.
Expys of other characters.
Cross-dressing boys in an ecchi series. (the very thought of it just turns me off..)
Girl harems with too much fanservice. For example, I hate Love Hina, but I love The World God Only Knows.

...Orihime? (Just kidding if that offends you. I personally don't like her. 😛 )

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

And you will murder someone one day, pika. If you're my daughter.

No, you haven't offended me. She was actually one of the ditzy girls I'd thought about during my first post. 😀

i hate how cliche almost everything is. in most cases if you read one story in the genre then you have read them all in a sense though sometimes you can find a really interesting one and some of them can be interesting despite being cliche i guess it all boils down to the mangaka. also i can't forget about the male characters in alot of manga being masochists like in zero no tsukaima's saito why would you stay living with someone that treats you like a dog makes you eat out of a dog dish crappy food and whips you and kicks you in the b*lls for everything would't it be better on the streets.

I dunno. i mean, some people are meant to be healriously positive in a comical way. like haruhi Suzumia.

and some characters are suposed to outragiously perfect. like Sebastian in Kuroshitjugi or the boys in Wallflower

non matter how cliche it it, if you take it to the extreme then it becomes good, i suppose

this plotline in general

  1. Characters I can't relate to in any way because of how awesome they are.

(Super genius, handsome as a movie star, and rich as Midas shoujo males and shonen leads who are never wrong about anything, who always stick to a cliched personal code no matter what the situation. Also, Madonna type females in shonen and shoujo who are so kind, perfect, and self-sacrificing they might as well be saints. There is NO fun whatsoever in reading about someone who can never do any wrong. It's not a human being if s/he doesn't make mistakes.)

  1. Predictable/cliched manga. It's no fun when things are obvious.

  2. Manga with poor pacing (doesn't end fights fast enough, rushes through important plot/character stuff, etc.)

  3. Manga that doesn't know when to call it quits and drags it out until the manga has lost most of its fans.

  4. Mangas with main characters who are given whatever they want, simply because they are main characters.

(In shonen manga, this is lead characters who get plot hax every time they need to win a battle they aren't qualified to win, take a week to learn techniques other people needed years to learn, etc. In romance series--shonen and shoujo--this is lead characters who have people totally out of their league throwing themselves at the loser main character. Etc.)

I drop anything that depicts pedophilia in any way shape or form no matter how cute and innocent they try to make it. I think manga where guys lust after little girls is just creepy as hell.

-Too much/Shit fan service.

-Cliche plot.

-Unbeliveable innocente-shy girl without a reason. This just DOESN'T exist! In heaven, the girls are less innocente and shy than this! Some mangakas need to get a life. ._.

-Unbeliveable idiot virgem boy without balls who have a "harem". Who the hell have the readiculous idea to write about a boy who have a harem without reason AND without hit anyone? Some mangakas need to get a life. ._. 2

-World Model handsome-NASA Enginner Chief-five language speaker who falls in love for a normal, idiot and boring girl. It often kills the manga completely. Why not just find a good guy for her, maybe just a lil high than the average guy? Shoujo fan service sucks more than ecchi fan service, at least ecchi have impossible tits, sexy clouths and is more realist. It's more easy to make a harem than make the awesomest guy in the whole country notice ANDE fall in love with you.

what if the female only has the body of a child but is adult i.e supernatural manga like

dance in vampire bund
spas pa

i think its alright that way but true lolicon does disgust me.

1.) Loser male protagonists that's so damn pathetic, but has girls falling for him left and right! IE Chibi-Nori from Girls Bravo. That dumbass from Guardian Hearts. Shinji from NGE (this pathetic ass scum paved the road for loser male protagonists in modern anime - the fate of humanity is at stake and all you can do is cry in a corner and jerk off to a mind-raped girl in a coma)! The losers from both Da Capo and To Heart (pt 1 and 2)! That idiot from Occult Academy!! I can go on forever...

2.) Harem plots where the girls ignored the male protagonists' idiotic, pathetic, loser-tastic flaws because he is --- drum roll please ---- NICE!

3.) Harem plots where the male protagonist does not CHANGE on a personal level. The reason why I love Love Hina, Ai Yori Aoshi, Tora Dora, Clannad, and Yume De Aetara is because, despite the male protagonists being a loser at the beginning of the series, their character grows and changes throughout the story to where you can understand HOW and WHY such a character might have more than one girl vying for his affection!

4.) Plots where the male character pretends he's not a pervert or acts like he's completely allergic to seeing a naked girl (IE Tenchi, Keichii (AMG), Rin (Shuffle)). One of the most memorable anime scene ever for me is from the Kanon when Yuuichi walked in on Makoto in the bath and nonchalantly invited himself to join her!! That's how a man who can attract a harem SHOULD act!

5.) Manga where the male character have a pathetic Sailormoon-sque ideals: IE I will never kill! Killing is wrong! I'll change them by being their friend - that's all those murderous vampire, who spent centuries murdering, raping, and pillaging needs: A friend to stand by them, then they wouldn't need to murder, rape, and pillage anymore! I mean, I can defeat them right here and now, but I'll drag out this pathetic series, watch countless innocent get killed, still not change the vampires view on life, end up changing my ideals right after the one millionth murder, rape, pillaged victim and defeat them (characters such as Emiya Shirou, Tohno Shiki, Ruroni Kenshin...etc...) It seems that manga has horrible habit of taking a potentially cool character and pussifying the crap out of them!!!

6.) Female characters that have NO flaws and are oblivious to any sexual approach from the opposite sex: (IE wifey (but single) type: Belledandy, most characters name Kasumi...)

7.) Childhood friend that's a girl!

8.) Imouto type female characters!

9.) Stories where the main char. take on the best! Then the best of the best! Then the bestest of the best! Than the bestest of the bestest! Then the bestest best of the bestest! Then the bestest best of the bestest best! The LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON!!! What F'ING point is there to a good action plot if there is no END in site!

10.) Plots where the heroes/heroine aren't actively going after the aggressors: There's a alien/monster invasion going on that're hell bent on conquering the Earth and enslaving all of humanity. But hey, HIGH SCHOOL and SHOPPING MALLS and TV DURAMA takes precedence over hunting down the bad guys. Instead, we're going to wait until innocent people are hurt or killed, we show up at the last minute, take out the monster of the week, and forget it ever happened - only to have the routine repeated again next week and the week after that for any entire school year!

you can go ahead and say its all just the way things are supposed to go in the average manga

but what being innovative is about is thinking outside the box, new ideas and going beyond our expectations

Firstable...don't u think that the number of the same ol' ecchi stories itself...proves my point?
Ppl love the same old cliches, other way....they wouldn't print them?eh?
And Genre itself is restricting mangakas....Ecchi is ecchi...if u want something more - u read border-hentai or hentai...it's about softer rating issues to sell it to the wider audience...
If that whats u meant about beyond expectations...-_-
And what exactly is "innovating" in ecchi manga for you anyway?

No one is "MIXING" manga with real life, manga itself is supposed to be "MIXING" with real life, thats why we can relate to characters and story lines.

Well maybe, but only to the certain point, about what choice u'd make...and i don't think it had something to do with an average ecchi manga-- maybe some psychological one - yeah..but ecchi...meh=|
And tbh i never "relate" myself to the characters-
- imo those just are pretty words...they doesn't mean anything...I read manga because of the story itself and art...not because i can relate to some 14 yo boy -_-
