If Luffy appears to be in any danger, Marco will probably come in to save the day due to Whitebeard's orders. If Marco was able to take on an admiral without hesitation, a shichibukai doesn't seem to be that much of a problem. And I wouldn't be too sure about Luffy not being able to take on a swordsman, he seemed to do fine against Zoro when they were fighting back in Whiskey Peak during the Baroque works arc.

This time its MIhawk... Not Zoro... Sorry to say this but, I don't think even the Zoro now is anywhere near Mihawk... Even with his new techniques and improved strength, Just as Luffy is not up to the level of the admirals and so on. Its not even time for him to take on Smoker, what more Mihawk?

well a way for luffy's crew to meet up with him could be dragon. on the cover of one of the chapters we see robin being rescued by the revolutionary army. and right after the enis lobby arc dragon does say there will soon come a day when they will meet. since we dont exactly know dragons devil fruit ability it could allow him to gather all of the strawhat crew and bring them to marine HQ.

anyway in my opinion there 3 things that could happen:

1. zorro appears and saves luffy from hawkeye
2. shanks shows up and goes to help luffy and says to hawkeye something about how he didnt bet his arm on luffy so that he would die there
3. luffy's mom finally appears and we finally get to see who she really is
