Quote from Odette
Everyone older and wiser than me has told me that networking is the way to go.
shurgs That's how I got most of my jobs, and I started working at 14. I also got an apartment partly by knowing people, so yeah networking is really important. I even found the jobs I properly applied for through word of mouth.
I've done a nanny gig, clerical/receptionist work, tutoring, assistant at a day care center, and random odd babysitting. Since I've started college, my primary income source is being a student (yay scholarships and research fellowships) and it'll probably continue that way. I also tutor at school.

The oldest job... ROBBING
Networking is the best way to get a job, because lets face it, companies look for overqualified people that are willing to earn less than what they truly deserve, however, a friend will get you a fair job as long as said friend can do so.

My "other" income sources are somewhat related to my actual job, I would say.... like occasional design work or aesthetic consultancy.
Other sources are mostly computer and music related.
I've made money through some other methods involving contraband in the past, but I won't go there since it's not worth making a movie about.

I have two part time jobs and go to college full time.
I work at a party store blowing up balloons and a clothing store... folding clothes and selling jeans.
I'm in college for Film and Television Production so I hope to become a Director and start by opening my own production company when I graduate. I'm saving the money and have a pla so I feel that it is something tangible.
I've only handed out my resumes twice and I haven't not had a job since I was 16. I quit one of the first jobs I had but not before securing a spot at the other place. I ended up going back to my old job cause I wasn't getting enough at the newer one.
I've only been to two interviews so obviously I've never lost an interview. After working in retail with customers and idiotic seasonal workers I'm never nervous during interviews because I am 100% sure that I am better then more then half the competition. There are SO many idiots in the world.
