I've been mistaken for a girl a lot.
I live in a small town and when I was
like 12, I was the only boy with long
curly hair. Now it is short.
Did you cut it just for that reason or......

i have been mistaken too many times in real life, mostly because i have really long hair, when i posted a picture of me online, too many people thought i was girl, and some guys tried to ask me out online too -____- wanting me to webchat with them, gaaaaaaah T.T
on forums- never
Can I see? I'm curious now. And if you've already posted one in the post your
pic thread, a link would help since that topic is huge.
this is the dreaded picture, most recent too...... i really wasnt expecting it to turn out like this

Never. And anyone who could mistake me for a female would deserve a fate worse than death. I lack any feature that could possibly be considered feminine.

Well I think he looks like a girl in that picture aside from what might possibly appear to be a very thin mustache and that took me a while to notice, if its even there at all since Im still not quite positive about it. Either way I never make mistakes in real life when it comes to identifying a persons gender since I dont make any assumptions.
Really though that picture especially with the visible earring and very little of the shoulders showing, left basically zero clues as to gender aside from the earring and long hair which point to him being a her.

Yup, more than I would really like. >:-(
I mean it's not like I have super long hair (mine's medium, usually tied back), but I am more interested in hobbies that are not usually expected of my gender...

Video gaming, comics (and I do mean the western kind) and etc. Especially on other forums where they don't allow people to state a gender, I've been mistaken for a guy ALOT.

Just once and only recently (couple of weeks ago)
I had my hair cut really short and I was wearing a hoodie and jeans... I met my dad's friend and the old lady told my dad that he has a very handsome son~ Well, I guess I'll just take it as a compliment 🤣
On the net, nope. I think with my feminist rants and username, it's pretty obvious what my gender is.
I haven't. But i do have a funny story. I was at this party,half-past tipsy, and dancing every female that I saw. I walk up to this one girl and I start to grind on her, but it turned out to be some dude with long hair. Naturally the guy wanted to fight me, I probably would've done the same thing had that happened to me.
Anyways after 5 minutes of yelling, I immediatly took 4 more shots to try erase my memory.
It didn't work...

Gender in real life? no, i'm big and tall... i always get mistaken for a different AGE thought, im 15 and im about 180cm and of asian background, this is pertty tall for a 15 year old asian guy, seeing as my asian friends are 150-160ish and caucasian friends are170ish, but anyway, people see me adn think im 20-25 >.< it confuses me... but i've ranted about this many tiems on MU before... so anyway. Over the internet, yeah, some people think im a girl... its not fun.

In real life: not that I could recall. I was told that i looked feminine from the side when i was wearing this cyan sweater along with my glasses on my forehead. . .
In MU: I'm not a frequent poster so not yet
online in general:
Yes, I used to play runescape and I set my gender to female for a quest. Now it costs ingame money to change your gender and after I did that i was too lazy to change back so i got mistakened a few times. They would be like, "hey hottie" or "would you like to be my gf?" and i would reply with "Dude, I'm a guy in rl". It's funny b/c they then start walking away 😀
on the phone: 2-3 times so far. Aparently i have a sort of high pitched voice so the guy at barnes & nobles would sometimes reply with, "Sorry ma'am, we do/don'tt have so-and-so in stock" and I would kinda pause a bit and somehow (not intentionally) change the tone of my next word just a tiny bit and they would apoologize.
p.s. does my username give any implication to my gendeR?
