Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. What's not to admire?
I also admire Kaoru from the same manga. Kind of funny that I've read so many manga, and out of all of them, the two characters I admire the most are from the same manga.
some..you know their free and have no limits
they go through adventures/experiences that some people desire to experience
you know what I mean?

I hear you say "Why?" Always "Why?" You see things; and you say "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not?"

Honda Tohru in Fruits Basket. This girl has gone through so much, and yet she perseveres and perseveres and perseveres. She refuses to give in to self-pity. Instead she 'pays it forward' - instead of being subsumed by grief, she transcends it, remembering the love she shared with her mother and letting it fuel her in her interactions with everyone she meets. It is easy to look at Tohru and see her as pliant or too easy, but she is strong with a woman's strength.

Lelouch vi Britannia
Holycow, I want to be as genius as him. He want to change the world but not ignorant to do it by heroic or saint way. He is neither pure evil or good. Having good intention for his own good. The world of shonen manga full with main chara who is Good and defend Justice by a good way, that too good to be true. Thats why this hypocrite one, Lelouch, who fight for justice but declare himself as evil, I admire him so muuuuuch >.<!!

Zoro from One Piece just everything about him I admire. Especially his ability to handle pain and the fact he is the most badass character to ever exist.
Also Oe Kintarou from Golden Boy he is the type of person who will take all the bull of life and still be positive. Whenever he makes a mistakes or someone does him wrong he saids "That was educational" and learns from the experience. Man what a beast.
Yuuhi from Hoshi no Samidare.
I admire him because of his character growth throughout the manga, and how he escapes his chains.

i think we've all admired a character or two from all the manga we've read at some point...in my opinion, that's an essential motivation to keep up with the series in the first place - manga as an art form imitates life, and life in returns holds a mutual affinity for manga as well.
i've always admired at least one character in the good series that i've read, but most admirable to me....probably have to be Sarasa from Basara...following her character throughout the story and seeing her development just induced so many moments of catharsis in me. that emotional factor really affected my attachment to her and increased my admiration for her growth throughout the series.
