That's what I think too.. He got us in the 'mood' for the Jiraiya/Pain fight.. So it wouldn't be right if he suddenly switched scenes.. Because then the momentum would be lost..

Though I wouldn't mind if he showed what the others were doing in one page.. 😀

i still want to know what that toad staff that Jiraiya pulled out of his mouth does. He was talking about how it truely belongs to naruto know. then the toad staff said naruto hasn't even learned how to control the light and dark chakra. So does that mean we get to see some other awesome move that naruto gets to make that nobody else could even think of. And did the toad staff go back to Jiraiya or did it go and try to find naruto i dont remember and i dont have time to look before class starts. I also wish we could see what everyone else is doing. I more thing do these chapters lately seem to be dragging on and on not really getting anywhere. Thats what it seems like to me at least
