There have been a lot of gruesome deaths in manga/anime. Which death did you find most disturbing? (no hentai, please)
I was pretty disturbed when Mitsuko raped a guy before stabbing him in the neck with a sickle in Battle Royale.

I thought the most disturbing death was Light and the pitiful-ness.... it was just so short and kind of random. He shoulda taken over the world! >=D

But in real life, I heard Queen Mary's execution was really twisted. It included her head not being all the way cut the first swing, and so she suffered several seconds with her trachea half-cut.

eeek, that is gruesome.

I thought:

names written on the fake death note would have been Light and his team's...

Some countries used to practice executions by tying arms and legs to horses and letting them run in 4 diff directions at once...

When the ugly guy is shot multiple times in the crotch with an uzi and his intestines start coming out of the huge gap where his manliness used to be.

Strangely enough I wasn't disturbed by Battle Royale at all. I don't think I was ever disturbed by death in manga/anime.

Let me think... the last manga that gave me the 'I don't want the police to find this on my computer' feeling was Goth. It's only 1 volume so I might as well not say anything about it.

Most of the other 'disturbing' deaths I can think of right now would come under hentai.

One real gruesome I remember comes from Rose Hip Rose,

A naked woman's body is thrown from a roof with her limbs hacked off and the kanji for "goat" carved on her abdomen.

Kiryiama shoves his thumb into a guy's eye socket then pops the eye out from behind. He then starts playing with it in his hands while it's still hanging from the socket until it turns into a gooey mess.

that part had me so tripped out. lol

most disturbing for me was in ichi the killer when

the chinese twins cut off the girl's nipples onto the barbecue they were eating at. i just stared at the wall for a few minutes after that one

Suicide Club.

especially in the beginning when all the chicks are like all japanese (talking cutely, using cells, giggling etc...) and then they all chant "1...2...3!!" and jump infront of a train. Scary man.

This one happened in my town I saw it after seeing the police and a lot of people gathered around an apartment building and strangely wasn't disgusted by the way he died...basicly the guy tried to hang himself from his balcony but the rope broke and he fell down from the 4th floor onto a (how should I explain this) a part of a broken steel fence (can't find a better way to picture it to you) and that part went through his stomach.There was blood everywhere,i remember a lot of girls that saw it and went pale,some even puked.I still remember the way he looked even though it hapened a long time ago,his face was blue,with the rope around his neck and the steel part was sticking out filled with blood and small chunks of flesh sticked to it (i guess you had to see it,because it can't be very well described)
