isn't this a bit extreme.

i don't support paying narutofan for obvious reasons but correct me if i'm wrong. calling viz or "reporting" will most likely only have negative effects on the manga/anime community.

that page with all the info says it all. if narutofan isn't here it will not effect the community at all since it doesn't contribute in any way. BUTTTT getting a third party to come in and find faults can be harmful. what is to stop them from attacking scanlator sites and fansub sites after this?

i think going outside of the actual online community that we have trying to resolve this would be a pretty stupid call.

also wouldn't it be best for scanlators and fansub groups to come together and do this themselves?


Narutofan has a lot of popular crap posted on it for download correct? there are ways to screw over that guy with just normal releases. for example someone on here mentioned that he took out the page that bashed him. couldn't scanlators for just a few weeks put stuff about not supporting narutofan in the actual pages. like between frames- since that is deletable how about fansubs?
fansubs: every group could add frames to the beginning or middle etc and put in their two cents. i mean that would be much simpler. if every naruto episode said don't support narutofan for ripping you off etc im sure people would get the picture.

the reason i say this is because if the community actually came together and did something like this. then that site would most likely...

NOT host files because of the irremovable flames incorporated into fansubs and scanlations.

when people realize that the site isn't being updated they will then raise some questions.the only people that won't are the people that are paying because they were to stupid to ask where the site getting all these files in the first place. i mean really. those people are quite obviously claiming ignorance and don't care about doing their own footwork.

OH, i would like to point out. fansub goups DO say that it is a free fansub in their release.....that shows how dumb the people are in the first place.

Incidentally, it's probably a good thing that a lot of scanlating groups appear to hate NarutoFan and are boycotting it. It definitely sends a message, even if words just don't stop him. There are a lot of stories out there about people who have been "enlightened" (=P) and ya know, that's definitely better than nothing.

i agree with varna, calling viz will only bring more unwanted attention to scanlation groups. It's a stupid idea
if you call then there is a possibly that they will license every manga and anime out there, or even worse, ban all the scanlation groups by saying that it's against them.
if every manga ends up being licensed, many fans that are outside the US wont be able to enjoy them..

My group (In The Water) will support this cause.

We don't believe in taking money from others to get free downloads--especially when they claim false reports (such as domain issues etc)! Also, he violates many groups disclaimers and others' copyrights.


Also, on the note of report to "Viz" or "Tokyopop"...
I think it's best if we deal with this matter within the manga community because if we ask the authorities to help it won't go the way we hope for it to go... Most likely law suits.

We should just make it really really really well known that Tazmo is a POS. I think make up chain emals from Jeebus and promise sick kids a nickel for telling 100 people about Narutofan. We can also tell tham a wish will come true if they send it to 200 people.

They send me a C&D letter yet they send narutofan.com nothing.
I doubt they're gonna do anything.

Ok feel free to call me stupid but... Well if i were you i'd try to get people to find scanlators' sites and even MU easily because, well, most ppl that start reading manga usually start with naruto or bleach which gives NARUTOfan.com much more visibility than other sites like MU.

Lol jus get google to put you on top whatever the search is Ares6 said that he had been trying to raise the site's rating by adding "manga" all over. well if all scanlators did that for their own sites and the manga they scanlate (heck make threads containing jus the name of the manga ) and put a warning in big bold letters in the front page about tazmo many newbies would be saved...

Weeeell i don't know if this is even possible but...no harm trying... bah it was actually the first site i found on the net that had naruto available for free... i feel cheated...

I bet if someone wrote a letter to google public relations and told them what kind of guy Tazmo is and what he does to our community, they would remove him from the search engine. A lot of people at google still have values and are connected to us grassrooters. I bet they would support us, unless Narutofan is paying them to be at the top of the seach.

Don't call Viz. That's just plain stupid because Viz is also trying to make money and will grab at the scanlators.

Rather, the scanlators should put urls and watermarks saying "No Narutofan, go here," in places that'd be impossible for Tazmo to remove. The url should point to a page against tazmo and then put up alternate links to everything that tazmo distributes, like mangaupdates and baka-updates.

You know actually any profit from this is illegal so really no one should getting money.

okay i said all i wanted to say from my last post, but i've got a question,

Did someone actually discuss this with narutofan and ask them to stop?
It's better to ask him to stop first before we actually start to go against him right?
