I'm referring to more of the general people......people who don't have social problems....people who don't run screaming when someone tries to talk to them.......like the cat lady down the street who never got married because she was never pretty enough.... 😢 and then have to pretend she wasn't interested in getting married.....and die alone......but that's another story.

I'm stealing this section from your discussion for a reason. The events described above happen to be pretty much exactly what my Mom and aunt see for my future, but I would like to point out a flaw - I talk. It can be online, or to a someone working at a register in a store. I'm going to talk. I might not trust these people, but I don't think they're going to assault me at that moment.

Well, I never set limits on what kind of people cannot talk to strangers. I mean there's a possibility everyone will talk, just some are more likely than others to engage in conversation with a stranger. You know, this part of my comment is just meant to supplement the main point. And the main point was that trust is not needed for normal people just to talk to strangers.

Yes, I'm aware, but I thought I would help highlight that point - plus it sort of irked me. Sorry.

The only person I trust is the creepy old guy who pulled up next to me in his beat-up van and told me that he would give me candy if I closed my eyes and opened my mouth. 😮

I'm tempted to ask how the candy tasted...

Still my brother.

I trust most people I meet in life to a certain extent, like to be kind and courteous at least when you don't really know someone. I don't really trust a ton of people fully though. If I have known somebody for a long time, then I can come to trust them, but I don't just give my trust away, as that is a good way to get yourself hurt.

well, i trust people easily..

but there's one type, that i would never trust again.

no offense, but i don't trust women. gotta admit, i'm a good liar, and i know when people lie to me. but, women, damn they are good. like they've been trained by the CIA or feds. only a few women that i trust. and i don't even trust my own mother -.-

well, that's it. not being sexist, just from experience.

even while I enjoy people, always remember that I can't trust them completely, even if its family or seemingly 'good person'...

I trust every person with differing intervals.
I tend to first check what they are up to and
who they rub elbows with.

I guess that it really depends on person and issue. But in general, close friends and family. Gotta have faith somewhere in someone.

most trust i have in my mother, girlfriend, grandparents, two cousins and one friend.
they are people i can trust easily.
The people i trust are those who i've known for a long time or then just somehow have found trustworthy.

I trust my friends, but i'm starting to go into the paranoia stage.

I don't want to trust anyone anymore really, not even my family. At the end of the day we're all human, and we all make mistakes, and leak things.

Meh, i can be naive at times too, and it pisses me off, because i'm always disappointed in the end.

Paranoia FTW! 🤣

I respect everyone until they do or say something to make me lose this respect.
I trust no one, but trust can be earned. (not talking about believing someone when they say something). There are no specific requirements for this, I act on feelings.

To this day there are only a select few I really trust... Myself not included.
It's probably sad that I sometimes fear myself more then my friends (or even a complete stranger).
