I've been posting here for a few days, and decided that my post count would thank me for making an "introductions" thread. And so, I have.

About me: I'm a dude. I have long, femmy hair all over my scalp, and thick manly hair all over much of the rest of my body. All over, as in places where one wouldn't expect to find hair on most sixteen year old guys--oh, yeah, I'm sixteen, that too. I have a gravelly bass for a voice that has too-often been compared to that of a "Forty year old smoker." I am not a big guy, so the voice is coincidence at best. It is also a throwback from my father, who is both a big guy and has a voice just a few notes higher than my own naturally.

I am an artist, specializing in 3D, though I've done my fair share of 2D as well. I am a(n amateur) writer, and can spin a worthy story and toss it into worthy prose with rapidity and ease. I am a well-known grammar nazi at other forums I frequent. I just haven't figured out the mood here well enough yet to risk correcting other people. I abhor overuse of smilies, and will personally only use them to denote the intention of a statement that can be misunderstood without inflection. I am a walking dictionary and thesaurus, have read thousands of books and own hundreds. I type and read very quickly; my English I/O is incredible! I play three instruments (clarinet very well, piano poorly and guitar somewhere in between), and by the fourteenth or fifteenth of next month will have added the baritone sax to my repertoire. I expect to pick it up rather quickly, being that it is a woodwind and handles similarly to the clarinet.

I have a cynic's dry humor, and it has at times been called morbid. I drop dead baby jokes like hookers abort babies--frequently. (How babies does it take to paint a barn red? Depends on how hard you throw 'em!) I write a lot. Some poetry, but mostly prose. I intend to finish my first novel (yay for naive, amateur authors!) ASAP, and we'll see how that goes. I am only a casual animanga fan, and spend far more of my time on the hobbies mentioned above than on either anime or manga. That said, I can go through manga very quickly because I can read very, very quickly; not spending much time on it still leaves me with much done. Of course, I cannot absorb anime any faster than anyone else; I go through that rather slowly.

I am going through the college applications process right now, and am as often as not flipping out over whatever essay I'm currently needing to get done on a deadline. Shoulda' seen me after finishing out my M.I.T. App. I wasn't even relieved. I was just flipping out more because suddenly it was out of my hands. I like to have situations under control, see. I'm not a control freak, in that I don't manipulate people, but if I can control something important to me, I won't let it go even from my dead body (thank you, rigor mortis and cadaveric spasms!). Oh, and I play video games. That eats up some time, too.

Sorry about the length, but everything I touch gets longer and becomes a saga. It's like Midas's touch, except not as passive-aggressive.

Piano...for the win! As for younger and sounding mature, well, I always sound mature when I write. When I'm jollying about in the real world making dirty jokes and offending people, everybody seems to get the opposite impression. This is an inconsistency that I must address one day. Then again, such a disparity is apparent in many authors and poets, and seeing as how I intend to one day join their ranks...it may be best left alone?

Oh, and because I skipped a grade, while I am sixteen currently, I've essentially grown up mentally a year ahead of my body, seeing as how all of my peers are a year older than I--and as it happens, it seems we do mature more with our peers than our age. Fascinating!

My hair reaches my nipples, and my bangs my collarbone. Shiny, straight brown, maintained by Equate (Walmart brand) shampoo! Very femmy, except for the low maintenance aspect. As for security...some people would say I'm very secure; others would say that I'm playing both sides of the fence. Personally, I find myself secure, but what people will think, people will think.

You sound like a writer....... look, all the sentences are well-thought-out! But anyway, I don't think hanging out with one-year-older people would make you mature... right... Depends who, I guess, because people at my school (who are older) are not matured 🤣
