Lately I have nothing better to do so I am going to ask you people a little question. If you can turn a manga/manwha/etc, into a movie would you do it.

The reason is that I have nothing better to do so I am going to write a script and submitted to see is it gets good news. So I want some ideas or stuff like that.
Oh and don't think of average to overrated stuff. Why because I want the underrated to be more known

So far I can only think of:
Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge
Watashitachi no Tamura-kun
Yunagi no machi; Sakura no kuni (although it is closely related to Grave of the Fireflies)
Undercurrent
Hatsukanezumi no Jikan
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan
Bus Hashiru
Wagahai wa Yome de Aru
and that's it

Thanks for the tip Crenshinibon. There is a minor detail I have to add and that is if it has other material to it(light novel, visual, etc) please help remind me of it incase I don't know of it

Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge has a live-action adaptation already...

My first instinct probably would have been for Solanin, but that's already in the works.

Outside of that, I think Hatsukanezumi no Jikan could make a good film, as well as Undercurrent and perhaps the first half of Yunagi no machi; Sakura no kuni.

I know that NHCE already have a film but not for NA, though I haven't have a chance to watch it yet. And the recommend manga was great I will take them into watch

Rabuyan If they could actually find an actor willing play Kazufusa, it would be hilarious. Even if they screw it up it would be something to remember.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Adapting all the weird crap to live action would be a blast. A live action version of Chiri killing Itoshiki Nozomu alone would be priceless.

Wagahai wa Yome de Aru - At least the first story and the third stories I'd like to see them expounded upon.

Utopia of Homosexuality - would make an interesting film but I'm sure there are already films like that. Ones with a flowy feel.

Very deep, would do a good movie.

If at least one could capture the feeling of reading Sahara Mizu/Yumeka Sumomo into a movie it would be wonderful!

There is already a movie based on the novel, although I don't know if I want to watch it because it is one of those sad stories of which one reading/viewing is enough.

It's full of gore and fantastic Rider Kick, but I think it will suck million dollars just to make entire scene 😢

It was. Abysmal, really. But that doesn't mean that another Toume Kei adaptation would have to turn out the same way >_>.

A couple of the titles up there, like Wagahai wa Yome de Aru, have some distinctly Japanese qualities to them (heck, the title itself is a reference to a Natsume Souseki novel that I suspect most of the readers here didn't catch) that may not transfer well to Western audiences. Just tread lightly, is all I'm saying.

Also, if you're really set on Tamura and NHCE (though, again, I don't think that you need to focus on material that's already adapted) you should probably work on getting your hands on the actual source material, the novels, rather than the manga adaptations which are cut a bit short.

Nothing really comes to mind... I would've said Solanin as well (it's the only Asano work that could possibly be pulled off with current cinematographic methods), but it's in the works already, as Cren pointed out.

Hmm.... Maybe Kamigami no Itadaki.... not really blockbuster material, but more like an art-house type of film.... shot in very grainy film and cross-processed.

Milk Closet might work, but I suspect the DVD will have to include a free bottle of ether to give viewers the full experience.

Azuma Hideo's Shissou Nikki would probably make a pretty good autobiographical comedy if done right.

Point & Squirt

Banana Fish as a movie would be cool but since it has a long storyline then a drama series would be good 😀
