I happened to like school days was really interesting and the ending although it may have been disturbing it wasn't as bad as people said.

Code Geass both seasons is the most OVERRATED crap I've ever seen. 🤢

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne - anime and manga. It seemed promising, at first... Then it went downhill. It's not the WORST, but it's far from being the best.

Fruits Basket - manga. However, the anime was pretty good.

Ouran High School Host Club - manga. Same as above. 🤨

One Piece - anime and manga. It just never clicked with me. The art, especially. 😢

Aww, come on, things dont get as successful as Naruto by being crap. The non-filler episodes are disturbingly addictive. If I was 12 years old I would be obsessed. You just have to watch it drunk as a marathon so you dont notice how long it takes for anything to happen..

I can never work out whether Violinist of Hameln (manga and anime) is complete genius or a pile of crap.. the crapness of the only available translations doesn't help much there 🙂

Also the Gundam Wing anime; watched it all in a weekend, every single character was so unlikeable that I had to watch in the hope they would all die horrific angst-ridden deaths...

But everyone should watch / read Berserk. I get where people are coming from, I wasn't that impressed with the first few volumes, but give it a chance if you can stomach up to volume 4/5, it has the best storytelling and art I've seen. Plus if people on a bus start reading it over your shoulder they give you the strangest looks, especially if you're female... 😀 😀

Worst manga I've ever read was Happy World.

That story contradicted itself so many times, and left so many gaping plot holes that it makes me wanna build a time machine, go back in time a year before Takeshita Kenjirou even made this shit manga, and kill him. You usually use toilet paper to wipe yourself and flush it, not wipe yourself and try to sell it as a story...

For worst anime, it's a tie between Samurai Deeper Kyo and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Samurai Deeper Kyo is the only anime that actually made me go to sleep while watching it. It was like a visual sleeping pill. I only watched about 7 episodes, hoping that SOMETHING would happen, but nope, nothing.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was the only anime that made me pissed. Not pissed at the characters and wanting then to win, but pissed at how Gainax could make a shit anime like this. I know the action was top-notch, but everything else was shit. They try to use scientific laws and mix it in with their own "spiral energy" laws, but it all becomes jumbled up. And when they know that they messed up, that's when they make the characters get into another fight and hope that the action will erase your memory of them taking the laws of science and raping them hard without lubricant.The last episode shows exactly what I mean:

Combining just two galaxies can create the same amount of power that started the Big Bang?

WHAT?

And then when the Anti-Spiral hit Simon and Co. with the Big Bang like energy, why didn't they disintegrate instantly? Because this anime hates trying to make sense, that's why.

Sorry if it seems like I'm ranting, but I just finished watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and it made me so pissed off. Luckily, I found this thread. 🙂
