What do you do with presents you don't like?

trust me Takiko, it was a gift that doesn't have anything side meaning to it. And everyone would've liked it. Mostly just because it's a good brand and normal people won't spent that much money on something like this. Ugh, and when my birthday came, that person totally pretends I don't exist, not even a happy birthday. >:-( Hey....maybe I'll give all my garbage to that person as a Christmas gift, that's how I think of that person anyway.

Put it somewhere after accepting it.
Or if its worth a bit of money and i don't care for the person that gave it, i sell it, since i would never sell a gift from a close friend/family, i would only sell it if i didn't like em.
Me too!
They're worth money and if it's a present for a friend I'll definetly take it and I'll only use when the person ask me about it!! 🤣
Looking for this!!!

I'll just store it somewhere.
That's what I do with everything
and then forget everything.

If I get a present I don't like, I tend to just put it somewehre and foreget about it... They are usually cheap items, so I can't really sell it. It's usually things that is given to me by family that isn't my immediate family or things my immediate family bought me since they had some extra money after buying me all my good gifts. Video games = Good gifts. My dad usually only has about $20 left after buying me video games, so yeah... Cheap things I don't care about. If I got a video game I considered was bad, I would end up just selling it when I get the chance...

I'll give it to some body else and it means two things:
1- the person who has given me this gift is some one that I don't like then I don't care about things he/she may give me, I just throw those away like this.
2 - the person who receives this gift from me is some one that I don't care about since if he/she was important for me, I would search every where to find a beautiful and suitable gift for them instead of shoving this gift on them which is obviously a low, ugly behavior. but what to do, I only care about the people that I love, others don't matter to me. 🙄

I accept the gift and tell the person "thank you" and "its really pretty" or "I really like it". I then bring it home and dump it somewhere (like on my desk) and eventually forget about it.

Graciously accept them, of course. Any present is welcome, it's the thought that counts, no?
I don't know why, but people seem to think I like plushies O_O I've gotten toooons of them, especially teddy bears (I'm not a kid T__T). Got rid of about almost all of them when we moved though (donated it), sort of regretting it, but it can't be helped.

🤣 plushies seemed like a suitable present for you 😁
If they're from acquaintances, I give them away to my sisters.
I never throw presents received from family and close friends. There's this toy my sis got from a bag of chips and which she gave me as a present for my debut and I still have it. I also have random things like a drawing my then 5- year old cousin gave to me, or a cute bottle my bestfriend gave me. I have to throw them some time >_>
To see everything from the perspective of eternity
bump
lets just say theres a lot of random unused stuff in the back of my closet 🤣

The thought is nice, but I have no interest in keeping things around that I have no need of or use for and get no enjoyment out of. 😐 I have more than enough stuff that I really DO like/use/enjoy; adding more stuff that I don't really want around...? Not happening. Of course I try not to hurt people's feelings, but there's no way I'm going to clutter up my house/life with unnecessary and unwanted stuff.
As for passing on the gifts, I don't think it's "cheap" when it's something you know the other person would really enjoy. I mean, if someone gives me a lovely knitted scarf and I simply never wear scarves, but I know my sister loves scarves & wears them all the time, I'll give it to her. 😃
^This.
I will happily receive any gift, but if it's not something that I will use I'll re-gift it. I don't see a problem with this seeing how if someone doesn't like the gift I give them, then I would love it if they had someone else in mind that would love it/use it.
This does not include handmade gifts, I have knitted socks from my great-grandmother that I never wear but I will probably keep till the day I die.

I would say thank you and go home and put it somewhere in my room. Then once every year or more, when I randomly search my room for something, I'll find it and reminisce about those good times 😉

I pretend to like it at the time and then either sell it on eBay or give it to someone else who wants it. I do have some presents in the dark corners of my bedroom though which I only ever remember I have when I do a big spring clean and they temporarily see light before being shoved back. They're usually presents from close relatives and I haven't the heart to get rid of them no matter how useless they are.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

I pretend to like it and then later I just leave it lying around my room until it gets lost or I forget about it
