Quote from Dr. Love

There's going to be a sequel, yay! HOLD YOUR HORSES. Not one, but twoooooo at least!

He should be ashamed of himself. And the creators should kick his ass off of that directing chair for that movie!

That was such a big budget film! How can they let him waste more money to create more atrocities?!?!?

Hearing everyone talk about how bad it was is actually making me want to see it more. 😐

I tend to agree with everyone here that this movie is less than acceptable to put it nicely. the cast while they are probably good actors/actresses killed this movie even without comparing it to the show, on top of that it was like he tried to squeeze everything from the first book(which was like 20, 30 min episodes) into like an hour and a half movie and because of that you don't get the essence of the show I don't see this being a huge success the second time around unless people go to see it hoping it is better

on a side note in this movie are the firebenders like pyro from x men they can control the fire just not create it cuz in the show it seemed an awful lot like they were making fire from nothing but in the movie they they needed a source and were all amazed when iroh didn't have that setback

The movie "The Last Airbender" blows A LOT more than the name suggests.

If you were a Crapbender, you could make this movie do whatever you want.

Jesus Christ. I knew it was going to be bad, but not this bad. Someone needs to slap M. Night Shyamalan, kick him in the nuts, then proceed to fire his ass. I swear it's as if no one on the set of filming this thing actually watched the source material. Things I feel like ranting about:

  • Getting the names wrong, using "Grandma" instead of "Gran-Gran" mispronouncing Iroh's and Aang's name. Of all the things, this especially pissed me off.
  • The BS about the Avatar not having a family. Roku himself got married.
  • At least portray Ozai as he is in the show (ie. behind a wall of flames and one evil S.O.B.)
  • The earth benders imprisoned with access to earth --> real smart.
  • The fire bending:

  • The whole Zhou vs. Zuko was missing some valuable parts.
  • Why is Aang talking to a dragon and not Roku?
  • Where are Bumi, Jet, and the Kyoshi warriors?
  • It's way too serious, especially Suka and Aang. Suka's main role was comic relief, and they even took that away from him.
  • The northern water tribe sequence had only 1 water bender I could recall not named Katara or Aang.
  • They could have had Aang enter the Avatar State and go berserk on the fire nation, but they opted for some pacifist BS.
  • Extending Sozin's comet's appearance to 3 years makes absolutely no sense.

That's all I can remember. It's hard to believe that $150 million was invested and this was the best they can come up with.

150 million, where the hell did they blow the money? i mean i haven't seen the movie but the way you made it sound was like the just blew the money and threw something togeather at the last minute to release. it looks like movie makers who are adapting shows and books and stuff are missing the point. we want them to keep everyting but make it so we can watch it in a couple of hours and not days or months or possibly years and aslo to see what action sequences will look like when put the screen. if not; what the hell will those who have read harry potter do with the movie and those who were bothered to read the lord of the rings or narnia?

Quote from Dr. Love

From the comments here, you guys are going to love this. 🤣

There's going to be a sequel, yay! HOLD YOUR HORSES. Not one, but twoooooo at least!

I have no idea how he's going to stick with the main storyline, but this time no one's going to fall for this. I'm definitely not going spend my money on this one. I'm getting that failure to go straight on the discount shelves.

It's like he never watched the series (probably dead on, since they can't pronounce anything correctly). He scraps the original character traits and the storyline, and it honestly seems like he's doing it on purpose to portray the show as a joke. I mean, the earth-bending scene!! really?! That was just the tip of the fail-berg:

How many freaking earth-benders do you need to move a five pound rock?! They would have had more impact by using their hands to throw stuff at them. The kid who was chased for hitting soldiers with rocks probably wasn't even earth-bending. A girl at the Anime Expo had better effects, and she just had foam rocks on strings attached to her wrists...

Anyway if anyone has an urge to see it, don't waste your money and watch a low quality version online for free. The less detail you see, the better. As for me, I'm going to try and forget that I saw it...

The movie was a HUGE disappointment. I can't believe they butchered such a great show.

Quote from Makaveli

so wats the verdict of the movie? my friend said its a waste of money if ur an fan of the show, wat bout u guys, yall agree? i am still debating whether or not to watch it.

Pro
-decent fight scenes
-decent special effects

Cons
-horrible 3D
-stilted acting
-weird casting: The cast wouldn't have bothered me too much if they had given a better performance.
-poor script: This script was complete garbage.
-lacks the charm that made the original tv show so popular

Overall, this movie sucked; it ranks high on my list of the worst movies ever.

thx aether and SwordsRCool....i decided not to watch it, i might watch it if i find it online lol(even thn im thinking if i should cuz tht will be waste of time lol)....thx again. 😀
