Haruhi or Konata which character is better!

Yea so since the two animes are so related and both are REALLY REALLY good, now im curious to see if Konata or Haruhi is more popular.
EDIT: Right so rockstar saw some ambigousness, so I'm talkin about Konata from Lucky Star and obviously Haruhi from the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.

Did you watch any eps from 4 on? They changed the director and it got A LOT funnier from then on. Anyway, I love them both but Konata won my heart as favorite female character ever with her explanation as to why she wasn't in any sports clubs in the first scene.
