One thing I noticed that people don't seem to talk about very often is the titling of chapters within manga. Sometimes it's really boring, sure, but every so often a series will have a few - or many - really funny/zany/eye-catching chapter titles that make me laugh out loud when I read them. So I was wondering if other people appreciate that too, and if anyone has any favourite chapter titles they'd like to share. Quote the title and leave the name of the manga, and even the number of the chapter if your memory is that good.

My top two are:

"Quincy Archer Hates You" from Bleach. I've loved that one since the moment I saw it; I don't really know why, it just appeals to me.

"The Pink Warrior Should Just Shut Up" from Yankee-kun to Megane-chan. Lol, that manga has so many good/weird ones I could probably quote almost all of them. But I love that one.

As I recall, Hayate no Gotoku! has some crazy ones too, but I can't bring any specific ones to mind at the moment.

I tried to find an existing thread on this topic but couldn't, but if anyone knows one that I missed, feel free to shut this one down.

The chapter titles from bleach are great, "Four Arms To Killing You" "Dumdum Dummy Dumbstruck" "Swang The Edge Down" "If You Call Me Beast, Kill You Like Tempest", a lot of funny stuff

Well I think we're all in agreement that Bleach has some of the most awesome Engrish titles. At least they're not like Naruto's which are boring, cliche, and uninspired.

But it also has some titles that I just thnk are cool like: "Kneel to the Baboon King" and "Knockdown Monsters" (idk why, I this one just rolls off the tongue nicely)

Can't think of anymore that make me lol or sound cool.

Bleach is a good one all right. I also like those poetry-ish things Tite Kubo puts at the beginning of the volumes.

I checked out Hayate no Gotoku! and yes, it has plenty. Among them are:

"Peter Pan is Annoying"
"In the old days, we were taught that being a Space Detective isn't all there is to youth"
"Mr. Cow, Mr. Cow! Why a frog"
"Why do I always watch the rebroadcast of Princess Mononoke" --> love that one, 'cause that's an awesome movie!
"The power not to revolutionize the world"

That manga is just insane.

I love the title names in Gintama. For example -
Chapter 23: "You only gotta wash under your armpits - just the armpits."
Chapter 25: "You say Kawaiiii so often, you must really think you're cute stuff."
Chapter 50: "You always remember the things that matter the least."

...etc.

I just noticed that it seems very rare to find shoujo manga that has interesting chapter titles. Anyone know any?

I think the manga that are more or less pure absurdity, like Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, Hayate Gotoku! and Gintama tend to have a lot of wacky titles. Another thing that makes them fun to read. 🤣
